Below is our Week 6 Start & Bench Advice for the 2012 fantasy football season.
This start ‘em and sit ‘em advice is not typical, in fact, it’s both bold and unconventional.
If you are looking for plain and simple, or a “play it safe” analysis, you’re in the wrong place.
Let’s get to it!

Need a lineup for week 5.
Flacco Vick
Foster BJGE Murray
Fitz Lloyd D Thomas Wayne Harvin SJohnson TSmith
Rudolph
Cards d
Zuerlein
Need 2 rbs 2 wrs 1 flex
Foster, Murray
Fitz, D Thomas, Harvin
I want to say play Wayne but he will have Cromartie on him who shut down Andre Johnson last night. I know Murray hasn’t done much lately but neither has the law firm.
Hope that helps Anonymous.
thanks but should i start flacco or vick?
I like Flacco this week.
I picked up and started Mendenhall after some chump dropped him two weeks ago and now, between him, McCoy, McFadden, A.J. Green, Julio Jones, Percy Harvin, and Brian Hartline I now have so much depth that I have no idea what to do with lol
So my question is, what should my starting lineup look like for week 6? McCoy, McFadden (I hope), Jones and Green all seem to be must-starts so the question I should plug in at Flex between Harvin and Mendenhall…
Hey Dev…I go with Harvin, especially if it’s a PPR league. He’s facing the 30th ranked pass defense. GL.
What do you guys think about shonne greene. Is he worth a start? He looked pretty bad but going against indys poor run defense do you think this could be a solid game for him? I also have mendenhall, leshoure, and doug martin. I can start 3, is greene worth a spot?
I wouldn’t start him personally over the guys you listed. 8/26/0 is not very impressive to me.
Murray at 24? Are we giving up on him with that horrid offensive line?
I’ll admit, he’s not the best start this year so far. We will see if they fixed anything during the bye week. He is definitely a hold in dynasty leagues but I’m starting a lot of guys over him in redrafts. He is facing a tough Balt defense this week as well.
Torn between A. Bradshaw@SF or D. Murray@BAL for my RB2 and 2 WRs out of B. Lloyd@SEA, M. Wallace@TEN, and the ever frustrating Dez Bryant@BAL.
PPR
Much thanks, you guys are the best
Murray, Wallace and Dez for me.
No Ponder projections?
y no love for mcgahee?
Most likely it’s just because he isn’t projected in the top 25 this week. That SD defense is pretty tough on the run. I actually like McGahee somewhere in the 20-30 range this week.
No Matt Schaub ranking???
Might be an oversight or could be because Houston is going to run a ton on that GB defense.
wr2
a.brown vs ten or malcom floyd vs den? thanks
Brown for me plumerjoe.
hey guys,
I was wondering which reciever to start for my last spot. kenny britt, kendall wright, or jerome simpson.
Thanks
Tough one jr…watch Britt’s status closely. So far reports are promising. If he’s a full go I’d prob go with him and go boom or bust. If he’s a no go then Wright.
Harvin at 19? Seems a little low considering Washington can’t stop the pass.
Agreed, 19 is pretty low considering he’s playing the Redskins and his impact so far this year…
Yeah, too low for my liking as well. Harvin is a stud!
Flacco or Vick this week? or pickup Dalton vs Browns?
i like vick against the lions
Man, I have Finley who’s game time desicion.
Also have Jared Cook playing thursday, should I wait for finley to play? There is nothing much to pick up from the wire besides Keller who may play against the colts but I’d be in trouble if none of them play… what would you do?
Hey SFB69…If it were me, the way Finley is playing anyway, I’d just start Cook.
(RotoWire) Finley slightly dislocated the AC joint in his shoulder against Indianapolis but is hoping to suit up Sunday at Houston, the Green Bay Press Gazette reports. Analysis: Finley sat out practice Wednesday, presumably to rest his ailment, so he’s not starting this week off on the right foot, despite his hopes of being available this weekend. With shoulder dislocations there is always a risk of a recurrence when players choose to play through the issue without adequate rest/healing time, an equation Finley and the Packers will no doubt be weighing as the week continues.
Yep, I think finley is going to my bench this week, now what do you think about Dustin Keller? is he worth a look?
Finley is worth more of a look than Keller. Not worth the waiver addition IMO.
I have a chance to grab Rashard Mendenhall or Brian Hartline off waivers, but would need to drop a player. Who do I drop from below, OR, do I stick with below and pass on Rashard/Hartline?
My team:
RBs: McCoy, Richardson, Sproles, Green-Ellis, Doug Martin, Ridley
WRs: Harvin, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Vincent Jackson
Scoring format:
TD’s = 6 pts.
Passing Yards: 25 yards per point; 3 points at 250 yards; 5 points at 300 yards; 7 points at 350 yards
Rushing Attempts = .2 Rushing Yards = 10 yards per point; 4 points at 100 yards; 6 points at 125 yards; 8 points at 150 yards
Receptions = .2 Reception Yards= 10 yards per point; 3 points at 80 yards; 5 points at 100 yards; 7 points at 125 yards
Return Yards= 20 yards per point
Thanks for the help!!
Hey Rich, I would have a hard time dropping any of those players for mendy or hartline.
Would like some advice on who to start this week at QB!!! (Non-ppr standard scoring) RGIII vs. MN, A. Smith vs. NYG, or Kolb vs. BUF?? As always I appreciate your input!
welcome toxicforce
if rg3 plays him if not smith
welcome toxicforce

rg 3 if he plays and smith he doesnt

Sidney rice or mario manningham. What do you guys think about these 2. Need to start one of em and cant decide. Need help!
i like mario this week against a beat up gaints secondary
Leshoure, doug martin, and ray rice. Need 2 of em. Gotta take ray rice but leshoure and martin bothe look like good starts this week too. What would yall do?
welcome tim, tough call but i probably roll out martin
Need help here for standard 12 league
RB: Foster, AP, D.Martin, QuizZz
WR: Dez, G.Jennings, Boldin, Amendola, A.Binns
Need 2 RB and 2 WR and a Flex W/R
I think I am starting Foster and AP for sure.
Question is about the WR’s and W/R.
jennings still isnt practing i start him if he plays if not you gotta go dez/boldin/martin i believe amendola is still out as well.
Hey guys! Thanks for all the help already! First time I am 4-1!
I have Mcfadden, Reggie Bush, Doug Martin and Crabtree.
I can start 2 RB and have a Flex (WR/RB). Any thoughts on who to place in those positions? Thanks!
I’m shocked at the projection this week for Torrey Smith. Cowboys are the #1 Defense against fantasy WR’s. That secondary is no joke.
Should i pick up fred davis or jermaine gresham to fill in for jimmy graham?
hey tim, i think gresham has been getting more looks RG3 doesnt seem to look for davis.
Spiller getting 22 pts WOW!!!!
still question why we are so high on him even in a RBBC he produces..
