      <description><![CDATA[<p>Read this article on NFL.com, and immediately thought what would Smitty say about this portion:</p><br><p><em>I don't believe Newton has what it takes to eradicate and/or mask areas of deficiency. I don't believe he is an elite, upper-echelon quarterback. The </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4382" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/teams/carolinapanthers/profile?team=CAR"><em>Panthers</em></a><em> have finished under .500 in both of Newton's seasons as the quarterback. Cam can be dazzling and, at times, absolutely breathtaking. He also can be inconsistent protecting the ball and downright maddening with how he handles the "fifth quarter" responsibilities that come with being an NFL quarterback. Remember the press conference where he </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4383" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/videos/carolina-panthers/0ap2000000083137/Newton-I-m-gonna-bring-in-a-suggestion-box"><em>asked for the suggestion box</em></a><em>? Franchise quarterbacks, team leaders don't do that. Newton rightly drew ire for performing his Superman routine when Carolina was losing big. Newton seemed aloof on the bench during losses, especially a 29-point, nationally televised </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4384" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2012092000/2012/REG3/giants@panthers"><em>defeat to the New York Giants</em></a><em> on NFL Network. His teammates have yet to vote him a captain. That tells me something. Newton still needs to grow up. That's a problem.</em></p><br><p><em>When I look at the young group of quarterbacks, I don't put Newton in the category of </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4385" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/player/andrewluck/2533031/profile"><em>Andrew Luck</em></a><em>, </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4386" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/player/robertgriffiniii/2533033/profile"><em>Robert Griffin III</em></a><em>, </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4387" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/player/colinkaepernick/2495186/profile"><em>Colin Kaepernick</em></a><em> and </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4388" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/player/russellwilson/2532975/profile"><em>Russell Wilson</em></a><em>. He hasn't earned it. Luck and </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4389" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/player/robertgriffiniii/2533033/profile"><em>RG3</em></a><em> carried bad teams and were the epitome of clutch; the vets followed their lead. You don't see that happening with Newton in Carolina. Luck and </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4390" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/player/robertgriffiniii/2533033/profile"><em>RG3</em></a><em> would've put the flawed </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4391" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/teams/carolinapanthers/profile?team=CAR"><em>Panthers</em></a><em> in the playoffs last year, just like they did with the </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4392" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/teams/indianapoliscolts/profile?team=IND"><em>Indianapolis Colts</em></a><em> and </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4393" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/teams/washingtonredskins/profile?team=WAS"><em>Washington Redskins</em></a><em>, respectively. The </em><a id="yui_3_5_0_2_1367944563347_4394" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.nfl.com/teams/carolinapanthers/profile?team=CAR"><em>Panthers</em></a><em> are 13-19 with Newton. Quarterbacks are judged by wins and losses. But last year his accuracy took a dip, some say he lacked poise and hurried throws, and dropped to 21 TD's from 40(!).       <description><![CDATA[<p>I feel like Jamaal Charles may be a bust this year.&nbsp; I expect about the same amount of carries that most seem to be projecting for&nbsp;him.&nbsp; I've seen many experts projecting him to have 6+ ypc.&nbsp; I found an article listing YPC for running backs in the season (or year before in some cases) the ACL injury occurred and the year following the injury.&nbsp; The YPC following injury&nbsp;on average was 88% of the preinjury YPC.&nbsp; Couple that with his career 6.1 YPC and you get a back with 5.4 YPC.&nbsp; In the projections I am using (I don't do my own I have learned enough to know as a whole I suck at projections),&nbsp;that alone would drop him from RB11 to RB15.&nbsp; Am I out of line or is it rediculous to expect anything beyond 5.5 YPC from Jamaal Charles this year? Personally, I think it is a stretch to expect beyond 5 YPC for a guy coming off an ACL injury even if he did run for 6.3 his last fully healthy season.&nbsp; I am also down on AP for redraft for all of the same reasons, but I expect both to come back at full force in 2013.</p><br><p>I am very curious what you all think.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[OK, so I know there are some Tebow fans around here but I think it's time to face some facts. &nbsp;Jacksonville, with all of their issues in putting fans in the seats, jersey sales, uncertainty at the QB position, lowering ticket prices, etc. elected to NOT make a trade for Tim Tebow even though it only cost the Jets a 4th and 6th. &nbsp;If the Jags would have offered a 3rd rd pick to the Broncos a few months back, they could have certainly had him. &nbsp;Not only were they UNWILLING to give up that 3rd, but they used that 3rd rd pick on a PUNTER!!! &nbsp;Seriously, what in the world was that organization thinking about this offseason? &nbsp;Is Tebow really that bad that his hometown team is willing to give up selling tickets, Jerseys and everything else just so they could draft a punter???<div><br></div><div>I really think it's time to put the speculation to rest that Tebow is going to come out of this season as anything more than a gadget player and career backup QB. &nbsp;If he was viewed as anything more, don't you think that his hometown team would get behind him?</div>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Who are the guys that you are passing on this year, even if they are highly rated?<br><br>QBs - Big Ben - I like him better as a QB2, his career stats are very inconsistent.<br>RBs - Turner, Gore and Steven Jackson - I just see 2 of the 3 breaking down this season.<br>WR- Roddy White, D-Jax - I think these guys won't live up to their draft status.&nbsp; D-Jax is more hype than production, and Roddy is going to see a significant reduction in targets.<br>TE-A.Hernandez - McDaniels hasn't been known for utilizing his TEs.&nbsp; Hernandez had a big post season, but Gronk was banged up.&nbsp; And I think with Brandon Lloyd on the roster, Hernandez takes a small step back.<br><br>So which guys are you passing on?<br>]]></description>
