Dynasty rankings should take into account:
    1. Production
    2. Age
    3. Opportunity
    4. Injury hx
    5. Future potential (upside)

edit: I was typing this while bddavidson was posting.

  • I take 2-3, 4 years max into consideration when ranking for dynasty. With that said:
    Foster-fits HOU like a glove.
McCoy-the most elusive back in the game right now.
Rice-should be solid for another 2-3 years; he may start to breakdown after that.
McFadden-his best football is still in his future, granted he stays healthy.
    Mathews-see McFadden.
Jones-Drew-could start to slow down but still a top back for next 2 years.
    Richardson-CLE or TB, he'll be a stud.
Forte-latest is, he'll hold out if no long-term contract.
Johnson-he's still one of the more dynamic RB's in the game. Needs his mind in it.
Lynch-will carry the load for the next few years.
    Peterson-could climb ranks if/when healthy.
Murray-huge upside... Has to stay healthy.
Charles-I believe he'll be more of a situational back, but he'll still be productive, especially in PPR.

    My Top 15:

    1. Foster
    2. Rice
    3. McCoy
    4. Dmac
    5. Mathews
    6. Murray
    7. T-Rich
    8. MJD
    9. Forte
    10. CJ3
    11. Lynch
    12. Charles
    13. AP
    14. Wells
    15. Spiller

I debated long and hard about putting Wells ahead of AP, but in the end, I just couldn't do it.

    1. McCoy
    2. Ray Rice- Production always there
    3. Foster- a stud, but also product of the system
    4. MJD- One of those guys like SJax who will produce top #s till he's 30
    5. Chris Johnson- Possible last year was a fluke, still dynamic and young and one of the few guys on the list with 2000 yard potential
    6. Matthews- Young and full of upside, flukky injury history
    7. Forte- Contract scares me but would be top 4 right now if not for that. Returned healthy from injury and is the Bears offense
    8. Murray- Highest upside of anyone here. Likely will be higher on this list next year
    9. DMac- The #1 guy i'd want in my lineup WHEN healthy, out of ALL positions. Too bad he's not healthy.
    10. Richardson- Clear path to 300+ touches in CLE or TB
    11. Lynch- It was a contract year....
    12. AP- What a disaster injury
    13. Charles- He'll be back...in what capacity?
    2013 Predictions:
-Jay Cutler will not be a starting QB in the NFL after 2013
-Matt Forte will have the best season of his career in 2013
-Trent Richardson will exceed 18 total tds in 2013

In Charles defense....he was a situational player the year he broke-out and was elite. He didn't even lead his team in carries and put up monster numbers.

    Non-PPR pure dynasty:

    Foster
    McCoy
    Rice
    Forte
    Richardson
    DMac
    CJ3
    MJD
    Murray
    Mathews
    AP
    Charles
    Lynch

It's tough having CJ2K so high, but even tougher to let him fall due to his youth and ability that I KNOW I saw with my own eyes 2 years ago. AP could climb or fall as mentioned above by a few. Murray is worthy of being ranked higher, but i think I slotted him in a safe spot. Richardson is high, but I'm going bold there.

    Foster
    McCoy
    Rice
    MJD
Forte-if he gets what he want's he may go nuts
CJ-pull head from rectum this year and regain position
    DMac-injury concern
Richardson-TB or Browns will be the bell cow
Lynch-healthy (would drop to the bottm otherwise)
    Murray-not healty
    AP-not healthy
Mathews-should be higher but I don't trust him
    JC-not healthy

what if you have a higher expectation for yourself than those you associate with?
