7004 My only problem with starting with AJ Green and Julio is that theres so much more value at the WR position later…young talent too capable of being a top 5 WR like Kenny Britt. Id rather take a RB like DMac, CJ3, Richardson, Mathews, Murray followed by Julio and Britt than Green, Julio followed by Spiller or Sproles. Thats just me though. Guys like Brandon Marshall, Colston, Wallace, Jennings, V Jax, Nelson, Austin, Harvin, etc..will be there for you in rounds 4-6 while RBs like J Stew, rookies not T Rich, Greene are there with them. Id almost rather go QB, RB, WR, WR, TE and get Stafford, T Rich (or Mathews, Murray), Roddy, Britt, V Davis. I just mocked it out in a 12 team dynasty format and got almost that exact roster:
1: Stafford, Matthew (QB)
2: Richardson, Trent (RB)
3: Jones, Julio (WR)
4: Britt, Kenny (WR)
5: Davis, Vernon (TE)
…and I reached for a couple of them. My next 2 picks were Harvin and D Thomas (D Thomas will prob not be there this late now though) so WR is too deep to take those guys 1 and 2 IMO and based off the evidence too.
Thought this would be a good discussion here as well. Thoughts?
(disclaimer: as Ive said before having a script and sticking to it no matter what is never a good idea though)
TBL said:I think as long as you can get one of Stafford, Cam or Rodgers, that is the right move. However, if you can grab Foster, McCoy or Rice, i think the way to go is RB/TE/QB/WR/WR. this way you walk away with a stud RB, Graham or Gronk, Rivers type QB, and The same calibur WR that JR mentioned. I see Graham or Gronk as a #1WR. So I guess it all depends on where your 1st round pick falls.
Know_Nothing said:I think we ought to consider getting a DC inaugural dynasty league going here and see some different drafting strategies in action. What do you guys say?
Know_Nothing said:I'm down to 7 but could squeeze in one more if it were in the $100 range.
