Is C.J. Spiller primed to breakout?
  • Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is calling for a breakout season from RB C.J. Spiller. "C.J. is a completely changed man," Fitzpatrick said. "It's been apparent from day one of this off-season. I think the biggest thing with what he did at the end of the year last year, was he got his confidence. You just see how comfortable he is in this system now... I think he's ready to make a big jump. I think mentally he's made a big jump in the last year. With his confidence level where it is right now, we expect big things out of him this year. He really showed last year what he can do."

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

i think so..but i am very high on him...he is primed/young and the old guy in front of him is coming off injury..guess we will see during camp how it pans out..looks like the team is starting to believe in him as well which is always a plus..

I think he is going to break out. He was showing what he could do late last year. I think the Bills will give him chances this year.

Rbbc....maybe but when Jackson was having his own monster yr...till he got hurt. Buff saw that and gave him a nice extension...

It was an extension though....so they must be confident.... They could have dumped and run after the injury is all....

It's not that nice of a deal.  In fact it's structured so that the Bills can cut FJax after this year with a minimal cap hit.

Not guaranteed extension. Very BUF friendly contract.

This is exactly what it was.. he was told he would be getting an extension very early in the season.. showing their young players hard work will pay off..

    Go Bills!
    My 2013 Predictions[Non-PPR]:
    [ ] C.J. Spiller Will Be Top 2 RB(Jan 9th)
[ ] Demaryius Thomas will be the #1 scoring WR in 2013(Feb 13th)
[ ] Trent Richardson will NOT finish as a Top 10 RB in 2013!(June 4th)

CJ Spiller is going to take over as the lead back in Buffalo this year.  He is worth owning and a buy low RB right now IMO.

DC first Dynasty fantasy mock draft after 8 rounds Fred Jackson never got drafted, DC 1 league 7.12, DC 2 league 7.07. In those same drafts CJ was drafted 3.10 / 3.08 / 4.06.

Spiller has youth and has shown he can carry the rock on all downs.

It's kind of a "show me" contract.  If he can come back and perform well, then the Bills have him locked up for a few more years.  If he starts to breakdown, the Bills can cut bait with little hit to the cap.
  • Spiller is the back to own in Buffalo.  I see a RBBC to start the season and see Spiller pulling away with the majority of the carries by mid season.  By 2013, Spiller should own that backfield.
