As my projections are right above, I won’t be answering “do I start player a or player b” type questions, as my projections can take care of that, but drop a comment below if you have some trade offers you’re juggling!
Hey smitty
1 PPR dynasty
Trich and Donald Brown
For
Shane Vereen and Andre Brown
Never thought I would see the day….thanks
Tough call. I think I say no, but I wouldn’t blame anyone for doing this if it meant winning money this year, as I think Brown can be very productive here down the stretch, same with Vereen. TRich, I’m afraid to say, might not do anything this year given how the team uses him. It’s insane that they aren’t giving him carries. Everyone can point to the YPC, but that’s not it. Or, that he runs hesitant. That’s not it. I have seen plenty of runs where be rumbles for 10 yards when he should be stopped after 4-5. He has that ability. His horrible season has everything to do with how he is being used. He is very young, he could still have a big career, but for 2013, Brown and Vereen are the two I’d rather have. Just depends if the cash money is within reach. If it is, it’s not like you’re throwing your future away either, Vereen is strong.
Hey Smitty. I could use your expert advice. I’m not feeling very confident in my RB’s. I have TRich and Lamar as my starting two RB’s in a QB RB RB WR WR WR K D standard format. I also have Vereen. Its a 4 player keeper league and I hate to trade Julio but I think I need an upgrade at RB. I have Dez, Keenan Allen, Josh Gordon as my starters with Marvin Jones, Alshon Jeffrey and DeAndre Hopkins on my bench. I have had little to no success in trading my bench WR’s unless I trade for Chris Ivory. My other options to trade for are L. Bell, Alfred Morris, and Andre Brown. All 3 of those guys require trading Julio. If I trade for Brown that owner would also trade me Larry Fitz but the other options would net me either Bell or Morris and the SF D for Juilio. What say you? Are any of these an upgrade to my RB problem?
I think a lot depends on how likely you are to win this year. Dez, Julio, you have some serious future there in those two, and boy, what a tough break all around. Vereen had you covered upon struggling season for Miller/TRich, and boom, he goes down. Julio down. You did a fine job drafting, it’s just crazy luck.
I think Alfred isn’t bad for Julio, but again, I’d only consider it if you can win now. Even if Julio bounces back, Morris has similar value, at least within half a round. Post a poll on the forums? For now, I say no if you aren’t a very strong bet to win cash money in your playoffs. If you can, Morris is decent value, but I wonder if you could get a touch more back? I don’t trade Julio for players like Ivory, no matter how well he is playing right now. Who knows if it will last with those types!
