Note: With today’s news about Ray Rice getting indicted on one count of aggravated assault, again, you have to have Bernard Pierce for this duo to workout, and Pierce is the biggest piece of the duo. I just wanted to hammer that home one more time. Pierce getting all the carries under Kubiak = beast.

Been trying to get Pierce for some time, I have Ray Rice and the guy who has Pierce has two 2015 first round picks, and wants my 2015 first rounder to acquire Pierce. That’s not a good price for the duo is it?

If you think the 2015 pick will be late, I’d probably do it to rest easy. Pierce is darn good and has future value all by himself (even outside of the duo). I think you are overpaying, no question, but sometimes you have to, and if the duo locks you into high-end RB2 numbers, that’s pretty solid for a pick that is far down the road. If you think the pick will be high, I would not worry about handcuffing the duo and more look to deal Rice while he still has strong value (and that selling high might come later once he hits the field and plays, as his value now is low). So, win now with good future = trade for Pierce. If not in a ‘win now’ situation, why worry about it? That’s my thinking, but take it to the forums as well?
