Week 10 Add/Drop Advice
- Probably Not Available, But Check!

Andre Brown – RB NYG
He is expected back in Week 10 and he could be a very strong RB2 down the stretch, as the Giants have been without consistent rushing for weeks. They will lean on him in a major way in Weeks 10-16.
Riley Cooper – WR PHI
He is likely owned in most all leagues, unless your league has tiny rosters. His five receptions for 139 yards and three touchdowns in Week 9 can’t be counted on weekly, but Nick Foles loves this kid. Cooper is easily a strong fantasy WR3 moving forward!
Nick Foles – QB PHI
He isn’t likely available in your league, because we recommended him as an add last week, right? That offense produces, and Nick Foles is easily capable of a handful of 300/2-3TD games moving forward.

Case Keenum – QB HOU
Case Keenum completed 20-of-34 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns in his Week 9 loss to the Colts. His 3TDs went to Andre Johnson, so this outing looked like Jay Cutler-to-Brandon Marshall on steroids, or a game of Madden with that friend you have that throws to the same receiver all game long… however, it’s tough to overlook this passer’s upside. Have the Texans found their future passer? Let’s hope so, as this would be fantastic news for the development and future value of DeAndre Hopkins, but I think we need to see more before we declare Keenam as big-time rising star. He is a must-add, though, in all formats!
EJ Manuel – QB BUF
He is likely going to return form injury this week, and he is a must-grab in dynasty, and a strong grab in very large leagues, or 2QB leagues. I still love this passer’s future!
Aaron Dobson – WR NE
This kid was very high on our rankings prior to Week 1, and then he kind of vanished. While that could certainly happen again, as it has with Kembrell Thompkins, this kid is clearly worth owning in larger leagues (and is a must-grab in dynasty formats). He had 5 receptions for 130 yards and 2TDs in Week 9, so momentum has him as a good bet to crank out strong fantasy WR3-type numbers down the stretch!
James Jones – WR GB
The injury to Aaron Rodgers makes James Jones far less reliable down the stretch, but Jones’ recent injuries might have him sitting on waivers. If you are in a larger league, he is worth owning for sure.
Jerricho Cotchery – WR PIT
It might be time to start believing in Jerricho Cotchery, at least as a fantasy WR3/4. He pulled in 7 passes for 96 yards with three touchdowns in Sunday’s Week 9 loss to the Patriots.
Montee Ball – RB DEN
This is just a reminder, as the Broncos are coming off a bye, and we still have a whole lot of season left! Montee Ball may not get a carry next week, or he could get 10 touches and a score. It’s a guessing game, and everything is far from certain. What we do know is that Denver produces strong fantasy RB stats, and if forced to start (keyword ‘if’), Ball would thrive.

Rashad Jennings – RB OAK
It’s tough to say how hurt Darren McFadden (hamstring) is, so stay on the news if you own the guy! Rashad Jennings won’t be a strong RB2 or anything moving forward, but he is one of the only decent RB grabs likely left on waivers.
Dennis Johnson – RB HOU
It’s tough to know if he will ever get a start this year, but with Ben Tate (several broken ribs) and Arian Foster (back) both banged up to the point they could sit out at any moment, Johnson deserves a look.

FYI, Week 10 Projections will be up later today, and Rankings Updates as well, if not tonight!
Hey smitty-
Thoughts on Mike Brown? I’m surprised you didn’t mention him. Worth a look?
He was in last week’s add/drop. I didn’t list everyone from last week, as it’s redundant each week, but yes, he is a great add as a WR3/4, sure.
Smitty,
If you had to choose between Foles (assuming Vick won’t come back) and Keenum,
who would you choose for the rest of the season? 6 pts for TD. I have RGIII and I might start one of these guys over him this week.
Foles by far. Dynasty-wise, maybe Keenum, but for your question, Foles. I think Foles is just in a crazy-high scoring offense that can have him dropping 3TD games here and there. Keenum could still have ups and downs, and remember he targeted AJ over and over and over again, so watch teams double him a bit and then we can see how good Keenum can be with check downs and all.
Hi Smitty,
I’m in a 12-team redraft league sitting at 4th place (record tied with 3 other teams at 6-3 and one team at 7-2). I’m playing the number one team this week and I have bye week holes to fill at DST, WR and TE. The problem is I’m having a hard time dropping anyone other than Tolbert (and maybe KC DST) to fill the holes.
Here’s my team:
QB (Pryor)
RB (Spiller, Miller, Ridley, Brown, Vereen, Tolbert)
WR (Fitzgerald, Gordon, Garcon, Harvin, Dobson)
TE (Cameron)
K / DST (Hartley, KC)
Available on waivers:
Foles / Keenum at QB
Jennings / Tate / Ball at RB
Cooper at WR
Wright at TE
Assuming I won’t be able to pull off a trade with another team before waivers, what would you suggest I do? At the moment, I’m thinking of taking a 0 at TE, pick up the best DST available (drop KC) and just go for a good WR like Cooper (dropping Tolbert). In the off chance Foles is available, maybe I pick him up instead, but that means taking a 0 at two positions and most likely cementing a loss for my team in week 10.
If I can pull off a trade, great, but otherwise, conflicted on whether I should play for the week or stay forward thinking about the playoffs assuming I can win enough after week 10 to hang on.
Thanks in advance!
That’s tough, because every point counts, but yeah, you lose a lot by dropping a guy that can potentially help you down the road (Harvin, Vereen, Brown, etc.). I like Foles a lot moving forward. He has risks, but so does Pryor. Honestly, I think it might be worse to leave Wright out there and get zero at TE than to drop a Dobson? Your other option, Drop Tolbert for Cooper, as you said, then drop Cameron for Wright. Then try to pick Cameron back up, although, is Cameron going to outscore Wright? Lately, with CLE’s passing situation, Cameron hasn’t been the same, and Wright is playing well. Not suggesting you drop him yet, get some more takes and jump on our forum. If you think you can survive, maybe drop Tolbert for Cooper, and look at Foles instead of Pryor, then get some takes on Wright over Cameron given the situation… maybe keep it short and create a poll “Assuming you either start no TE this week, or drop Cameron for Wright, what do you do?” …. this way it gets lots of responses. Provide some redraft, schedule, etc details, but no need to post the team… just see what others think on this one!
Thanks, Smitty!
I got lucky (or not if it ends up being a replay of Week 7 this week for Foles). Picked up Foles, Cooper and Giants D and dropped Hartley, KC and Tolbert. I have holes at TE and K and trying to make a trade happen before gametime for TE (and if roster space created, K). If not, I’m going to roll with it. Thanks again!
Go with your gut. Seriously, it’s tough to see the long-term stuff from the outside, so if you gut says do what you’re doing, go for it. Nice work grabbing Foles and Cooper. Foles loves Cooper!
Smitty, Thanks again for making this it’s own post.
No problem.
JT vs SD or Witten vs NO. Which TE would you start?
Anyone got a second take for him? My take is in the projections.
