- Week 13 Adds
-
[level-all]
CJ Anderson – RB DEN
CJ Anderson only ran the ball three times for 16 yards in Week 12, but Montee Ball’s Week 12 fumble could have the Broncos turning to Anderson should Knowshon Moreno, who is on crutches right now, not be able to play Week 13. Don’t write Montee off just yet, especially in dynasty leagues, but he may have really blown his opportunity should the Broncos need to sit Moreno for a a game (or more). Time will tell if Ball (averaging a fumble every 28 touches) has ruined his chance to thrive in that Broncos offense, but while we debate and wait, Anderson needs to be grabbed.
Brandon Bolden – RB NE
Brandon Bolden might be the new first- and second-down rusher in New England after Stevan Ridley coughed up the football once again in Week 12. Of course, we want Shane Vereen to get a shot to start, but for now, it seems New England wants to continue keeping him fresh for the receiving game, which in PPR formats isn’t the worst thing in the world. I would like to see Vereen get at least 10 carries per game, something that is possible in the coming weeks, and something that would make him a top 10RB lock in most all formats, but for now Bolden appears to have solid flex-like value in that rushing attack. Grab him this week if you can, especially if you own Vereen. Is Ridley done? That’s tough to say, NE always makes strange decisions with their rushing attack. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
Benny Cunningham – RB STL
Benny Cunningham stepped up in Week 12 after Zac Stacy suffered a concussion; after Stacy went down, Cunningham racked-up 109 yards and a score on just 13 carries. Keep in mind, though, that this was against the Bears. Even if Stacy can’t return by Week 13, Cunningham would be a tough play in Week 13 against the 49ers. While anything can happen, no question, Stacy likely has too much momentum to have one single concussion costing him the starting job. So, Week 14 should be mostly Stacy’s – at least that’s how we see it for now. Things change fast in this game!
Dennis Johnson – RB HOU
Dennis Johnson might get some major carries moving forward, or Ben Tate could reemerge with a vengeance with what you could almost call a ‘week off for rest’ in Week 12. Johnson played well in Week 12, rushing for 74 yards on just 13 carries, but we’ve seen this before in both directions. Johnson could emerge, or vanish behind a player we know could be better if healthy (in Ben Tate). Tate if healthy is a top 5-10RB in Houston. The problem is, he may or may not get fully healthy this season. If Tate can’t get right and grab this gig that’s sitting right in front of him, it will be a huge missed opportunity for the runner.
Julian Edelman – WR NE
Julian Edelman was dropped in a grip of leagues last week and the week prior, as NE has been showcasing different receivers each week as their fantasy WR2 standout. Well, regardless of him vanishing here and there, his 110 yards and 2TDs in Week 12 puts him back in the mix for fantasy WR3 type starts in almost all formats!
Nate Burleson – WR DET
Nate Burleson is a great add right now, and he bounced-back in his return in Week 12 pulling in 7/77/1TD. He is a strong fantasy WR3 moving forward!
Justin Hunter – WR TEN
Justin Hunter is a fantastic pickup in dynasty leagues, if he’s even available, but he is still a good pickup in redraft formats. He pulled in 6 passes for 109 yards and 1TD in Week 12. More importantly, he looked very dominate doing it, those stats just didn’t fall into his lap. This kid has outstanding upside for the future!
Rashard Mendenhall – RB AZ
Rashard Mendenhall had a decent game in Week 12, rushing for 54 yards and 1TD on 13 carries. The Cards are far from a consistent rushing team, especially in games where they are playing from behind. That said, the Cards are looking solid right now, and who knows, they could produce some decent flex-like rushing stats out of their starter down the stretch. Will Mendy be that starter? Time will tell… we think it should be Andre Ellington, and we think his stats would crush Mendy’s, but AZ tends to not make the right moves when it comes to their rushers… that should be well accepted at this point.
Tiquan Underwood – WR TB
Tiquan Underwood exploded against the Lions in Week 12, catching three balls for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Is he for real? He is worth a grab in deeper leagues just in case.
Miles Austin – WR DAL
Miles Austin played 48 out of 65 snaps on Sunday against the Giants. He is far from a lock to stay healthy, or beat out Terrence Williams for targets, but he is worth grabbing as a fantasy WR4/5/6 in most leagues.
Marcel Reece – RB OAK
Marcel Reece has always been fantasy-capable, but his usage is so hard to predict. In Week 12, he pulled in four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown, and he still ran five times for 14 yards. With Darren McFadden possibly ready to return to action in Week 13, it’s hard to image room for Rashad Jennings, McFadden and Reece, but Reece is worth a look in the largest of leagues.
Ladarius Green – TE SD
Ladarius Green caught three passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s Week 12 win at Kansas City. He is a decent grab, more so in dynasty leagues.
Mike Gillislee – RB MIA
With Daniel Thomas (ankle) likely done for the year, Lamar Miller is set to get a shot as the full-time guy. That said, Miami has continued to drop the ball when it comes to Miller’s playing time, so Mike Gillislee should be on radars.
Brandon Weeden – QB CLE
Brandon Weeden will get the start in Week 13 for Cleveland, which makes him a decent grab in the largest of leagues, or in 2QB leagues. Past that, nothing to see here.
Matt Flynn – QB GB
Matt Flynn could be the starter for GB moving forward, well until Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) returns. That could be be this week, or next, or even the next week, it’s tough to say… but in 2QB leagues, Flynn is a decent add. He is great for Eddie Lacy owners, that’s for sure!

Lamar Miller – RB MIA
Lamar Miller is not likely available in most all leagues, but because we’ve seen some “Drop Miller?” topics emerge on the forums for the past couple weeks, it’s worth checking/talking about. With Daniel Thomas (ankle) likely done for the year, it’s Miller time? Well, maybe, maybe not, proven by Miami’s inability to recognize what they have in the Frank Gore-like rusher. It wouldn’t shock me at all if Miller was a stud or a dud down the stretch, that’s how much Miami has missed here with this situation.
Doug Martin – RB TB (Dynasty)
DYNASTY ALERT: Doug Martin was dropped in two leagues of mine this week (one expert league)… Unfortunately, another owner quickly grabbed the runner in that expert league, as it’s always FCFS waivers with such moves, but it’s just shocking that Martin is being written off in any fantasy circles. Keep an eye on this in your league, and even look into buying low… clearly Martin is scaring a lot of dynasty fantasy owners when it comes to the long-term. Take advantage (of course, at a low cost).

In one of my dynasty leagues I’m out of the playoff race with a bunch of guys who underperformed.
I just picked up Blackmon off waivers last week and this week I have a chance to pick up David Wilson. Is picking him up a no brainer at this point? Just to see if he heals back up for next year?
Yeah, I mean of course it depends on who you have to drop (size of league), but it’s hard to imagine a league too small where you can’t grab him (if looking mainly to next year).
Smitty, must win week 13 to make playoffs im 6-6 acquired mccoy, green, t smith gave up moreno , marshall, stacy, kallen but the guys i acquired had byes and ive lost 3 straight with 3 stop 7 players entering 2014. Please set my lineup. .5 ppr all tds 6

Here is what I got for ya: Week 13 Projections
@dlama I posted this in the live chat as well:
I think Burleson and Torrey are the safest. Torrey has a touch more boom/disappointment, Burleson feels steady, like 70 and a score steady. Spiller is 4 points or 25, and Harvin I don’t trust yet until we see him unrestricted. That’s how I analyze that. So, if you need steady and feel good about the rest of your roster, Torrey or Burleson, but if you need big points, I consider Spiller.
Forgot Smitty also can flex L Miller as well add him to my flex problem with d thomas done

What kind of expert would just drop Martin in a dynasty league??? Take away his card.
Yeah. I was so bummed I didn’t check my email that very second
