Foster can take over a game when he can develop his 'rhythm', but the over-incorporation of Tate limits his ability to do that. Kubiak used to say, when referring to Foster, that the 'great ones' need to be given the ball as much as possible. Like the Giants, the Texans aren't going anywhere until they get the ball to their best back on a regular basis.

Tate averaging 6.8ypc and Foster 3.9ypc...ya they need to get foster the ball more...

rickok21 said:They struggled last year when Tate was in the lineup. Sure he can break off explosive runs, but he doesn't catch the ball as well and he doesn't consistently make the right reads. Foster isn't as explosive, but he can take over a game and keep an offense on track in a way that Tate can't. Why does Fred Jackson take carries from Spiller, under two different coaching staffs now? Because he makes the right decisions. It's not just about yards per carry.
