Fantasy Basketball Sleepers and Breakouts

I love fantasy basketball as well, unsure if we'd ever head in that arena (again, i did it a few years ago)... but usually pinpoint some big breakouts in bball..

Andre Dummond may or may not be ready to explode this year, but I have a feeling this is the next Dwight Howard. He could average 20 and 10 this year in his second year. Big numbers for a center. He isn't on radars either, so there is like zero risk and you can land him as a bench player that you will eventually start.

Kyrie Irving isn't a sleeper, as everyone expects big things and he is already stud-like, but he is going to take things to an entirely new level this year.

Damian Lillard could become elite this year. Such a stud on the talent front.

Bradley Beal is in the same boat as Lillard.

Just a few names I thought I'd throw out for the bball crowds.

Would be awesome if you did an article smitty. I was gonna ask you if you did fantasy basketball. Drummond is a big one for me this year as well. Hard to see lillard having much better year than last, blazers have much better bench this year and he won't have to play 40 minutes a game any more. Nice list though, thanks smitty.

Thanks man. Yeah, I've taken 2-3 years off bball writing, but believe it or not, I am a better bball scout than football scout.

Yes, please write up a bball article Smitty.  I, too, love basketball, maybe even more than football.  Basketball is definitely more predictable because you have 82 games compared to 16 games a season to scout.

Not sure if these would be considered sleepers: Eric Bledsoe (mini-Lebron), Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors, and of course Andre Drummond

Sleepers: JaVale McGee, Enes Kanter, Tobias Harris, Jimmy Butler

Deep Sleepers: John Henson, Jarred Sullinger

    Deep Deep Sleeper: Greg Stiemsma

I like Jonas Valanciunas, Victor Oladipo, Alec Burks, Tobias Harris, Ben Mclemore, Evan Turner even.

I would love to get in a league this year since I took last year off. It would be cool to have a league of board members rather than some random public league. I'm sure we would leave our bball conversations to the league page and just leave a link on this site if anyone was interested in following. Bball is great in it's own right and you don't have those lulls during the week. What I love about it most is that a player can put up a stinker, but then has an average of three more games that week to redeem himself.

I definitely agree with gregk95 on the Henson call.

blazer homer here...guy who could be had late late in drafts that will outplay ADP....Robin Lopez...he is rocking practice and is gonna log huge minutes this year...center is a tough position cause the value dries up quick....12 points...10 rebounds...2 blocks...with some upside...nice 10th round and later pick
