Worth it? Trade partner is all in for this year. This is more tempting with Vereen coming back. I don't have another TE to rely on though
DYNASTY TEAM QB(3) – Wilson, RB(4) – Mathews, Miller, Woodhead, Ivory, WR(5) – Garcon, Gordon, Hilton, Stevie J, Amendola TE – Gronkowski, Eifert
TAXI SQUAD - Montee Ball IR - Lattimore, D. Wilson

I'd do that. I have gronk though and I'm just annoyed with his injuries but I don't think that is selling low so I'd do it. If you can get healthy gronk value for him then you might as well
    Bold Predictions:
June 21- Dez Bryant finishes as the #1 WR in 2013.

Of course, if you are trying to win now, then this is not going to help with that

Ya, I realize that. What I'm saying is that if you are rebuilding then I'd do it, but if you have a chance at the championship then I wouldn't do it

I'm one of the few who's low on Gronk's dynasty prospects, so I'd do that deal in a heartbeat. Just feel his career is going to be cut short with the injury-surgery-injury-surgery pattern he's on.

    Sorry about that. LOL

I'm probably rebuilding with a high draft pick next year. Already have Ball, Lattimore, and Wilson at RB. Garçon, Gordon, Hilton and Amendola at WR. I'd start Cobb with Garçon n Gordon next year but lose Gronk for Eifert. Is that worth it? Gronk' s a monster when healthy and the main red zone target.

I wouldn't trade gronk for 2 hurt guys after I held him all year. The value isn't terrible if your not trying to win now but it just doesn't look right to me.

This, and I'm not nearly as low on Gronk as many are. However, seeing how Brady has performed this year has me a little more skittish. I am that high on Vereen/Cobb though.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

I would make the deal you need a top RB going forward and then I would flip one of your WR's and aim on getting Reed or up grading the TE.
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Russell Wilson, EJ Manuel, Josh Mckown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Andre Johnson, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE J Reed, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
    DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
    K Steven Hauschka

Vareen & Cobb with your team, lots of young potential - BUT you have NO stub RBs, Wilson, Ball, Vareen, Latimore - you might get on or possibly two if things pan out, then you can have a team to work with.

But until you get at least one solid weekly RB to go with Russell Wilson, Garcon, Gordon & TY as the remaining young core of your team - well,  honestly you will stink it up.  I like getting Cobb and Vareen, adds depth and two bereakout players on my radar.

Personally, I feel while SMitty may have totally missed on his breakout players (specifically RBs) this year - I REALLY TRUELY BELIEVE HE WAS JUST ONE YEAR EARLY.  If you believe as I do, that means your team will totally kick a$$ next year aftermaking that trade.  But that's my opinion.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the help with this one. I like Vereen's potential but what gets me is how does NE use moving forward, especially with Ridley there? I know he has the talent to put up strong RB2 numbers, but is it more like a watching the match ups every time? Can he truly be a core player that you can rely on on a weekly basis? Also, does Cobb seem a little more injury prone than other WRs? Didn't he take some time off dealing with an injury besides this one?

hawk12 - I'm there already. LOL I gambled on the wrong RB this year (WIlson) and it's stinging me right now. I like relying on the core you mentioned plus Gronk. Just trying to find those RBs when I can. I just feel if I'm gonna deal Gronk away, I would be willing to package him for a RB I know I can count on.

...and a first half like that makes me think the offer isn't good enough.

Let me tell you this that NE play book got a lot smaller when they lost Vereen. Your thinking to much that he's a RB like Ridley but he's not he's is more a receiving RB. But you not alone in thinking this way, he was a secret weapon a lot of us at DC have known for awhile but hit a speed bump week 1. Do what your gut is telling you is all I can say.
