  What's everyone's take on Foles?

  
  

  I have to admit I was not a believer at all, but if you look back over his body of work it does look pretty good.  Obviously the 7TD game helps his stats, but he hasn't thrown an INT yet and puts up good numbers.

  Last weeks numbers looked good but those 2 TDs could have easily been interceptions. So I'm leaving it up to this week to see if he has the goods to consistently be the guy in Philly. I'm also starting him in a few leagues so I'm routing for the guy. He ranks roughly 15th in dynasty QBs with the chance of cracking the top 10 at some point if this keeps up.

  Ya I also just peaked at Smitty's dynasty rankings and Foles is top 8.  Stafford only at 14?

  It may seem odd, but I learnt a while back its not wise to doubt Smitty. So I run with it.

  haha...I am on board with Smitty 95% of the time.  That one just seems insanely low for Stafford.

  
  

  I ask because in that other thread I can flip him now while he is hot (made that mistake with Brees before last season) and get something good in return.

  I said in the off season that Foels was being talked up big time by people that watched the Eagles camps.   ( I live near Philly and know guys that have gone to Lehigh for years, and several of them got in to see the new practice location that was more 'private' this year.)  They all said the same thing, FOles has a cannon and seems to be favored to Vick.

  That was un July, now I see what they saw.  FOles makes quick decisions, and throws the ball deep, knows how his receivers like to catch the ball - notice the throws differnt passes to DJax than Riley Coop.  I can't wait to see him with Maclin back next year.

  Foles value is pretty high now (compared to 5 weeks ago), but he may yet grow in value and believers... I'd sit a bit longer and wait for him, the Eagles schedule is filled with crappy teams.

  While I'm not 100% sold on his long term value, Foles could get you more after the year, especially when you remind them of Maclin returning....  Just my opinion though.  Heck by then, you might love him and want to hold for yourself.

   

  On another note, I also think Stafford is way too low on that #14 slot

  nicely said Hawk! I find having guys that live close to that team they speak of is great intel.

  My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
  QB Russell Wilson, EJ Manuel, Jason Campbell
  RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Knowshon Moreno
  WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Rueben Randle, Robert Woods, Kenny Stills
  TE J Reed, M. Bennett
  DEF Kansas City
  K Adam Vinatieri

  been to many many Eagles camps when they were open to public in Lehigh.  Now have freinds that get 'private invties' and work with a former Eagle that also has some access to team activities. 

  Love the local knowledge as well. Between seeing Eagles suck that were supposed to be great, and newer players coming up, I learned first hand.

   I used to bet on college football, and read the blogs of guys that watched practices at many colleges and learned that local intel and hearing who's hurt, whos practicing great goes along way to knowing who's gonna play great in the coming season.

  That is why this forum is so good, plenty of locals around various cities, and many seem to know their stuff

  Foles looks good so far and his numbers have been great. That being said, I'm waiting a little longer to buy in completely. I would still take Brees, Rodgers, Luck, RGIII, Wilson, Stafford, Newton, Payton, Brady over him in a dynasty. I'd put him between 10-12 in a dynasty in the Kaepernick-Ryan area. The big problem I see is the cost to acquire him. If you can get him cheaply, I'd do it, but I wouldn't pay for him as a proven commodity.

  Im really liking Foles...6'6" 246 lbs, cannon arm, mobile and great weapons. Doesnt even have Maclin playing right now.

  I know Barkley hasn't looked good in the two games where he was pressed into action, but I like him enough to where I wouldn't be surprised if it's an open competition between he and Foles next year. That at least gives me pause to pay full price for Foles, whatever that may be.

  yeah those 2 TDs last week could of easily been 2 INTs but so far so good. has the rest of the season to prove his dynasty worth.

  Until he derails you ride the Foles train and get all you can fantasy wise in redraft-for dynasty you want a few more gamrs before making any big commitment

  I like Foles is redraft only. The Eagles owner has made things very clear that he will be looking to add a franchise QB in the upcoming draft. Vick is on a one yr contract and almost certain to be out of town at seasons end and Barkley isn't out of the picture Foles will more the likely be trade bait or a backup next season.
