I have some seriously talented starters, but I have no depth for RB. During Spiller's bye week, I have to start Mendenhall. I also have very little depth at WR. Below Randle my options include Givens and Santonio Holmes.
I have tried several times to acquire another RB, but have had no luck. I am thinking about making one final offer to a team decimated by injuries to get Andre Brown. This owner has not been interested in my previous offers. Because his RB's need serious improvement he is afraid to trade away anyone who might be an RB 1 next year. (His other RB's include DMC, Deangelo Williams, Ahmad Bradshaw, Ogbanayya)
But there is a chance that he might take my first round pick next year. Because it is only a 10 team league, and only 15 keepers, there is some value in the first few rounds. In the past, he has not expressed any interest in my second round pick.
I currently have the third most point scored in our league, but due to bad luck have not locked up a playoff spot. Being able to put in Bradshaw over Randle could help put me over the top.
In addition, my complete lack of depth means that any injury to one of my starters could kill me in the playoffs. Having Brown would mean that I don't have to completely rely on a unhealthy and underachieving C.J. Spiller.
The downside, as I see it, is that Brown seems to get injured all the time, and but all I really need is for him to make it from week 13 to week 16 this year. I also am unsure of his long term value with Wilson still lurking next year (even with an injured neck).
So what are everyone's thoughts? Is it worth giving up a first round pick for Brown?

if you it puts you over the top I would and bvrown is worth a 1st as he is the starter there until they draft one we don't know if Wilson ever plays again..

I wouldn't. I think Spiller does good for the rest of the season. I'm not a believer in Browns health so I don't see him helping you next year. I'd keep the pick
