Im worried. My gut says to sit him. Cutler played horrible when he came back from injury last time. What do you think?

I don't own him but if I did he sure would be seeing my bench unless it was for an ajg/dez type...even then idk
    Bold Predictions:
June 21- Dez Bryant finishes as the #1 WR in 2013.

Great article with statistics comparing marshall jeffery and even bennett with comparing cutler to mccown.

So much depends on your alternatives, but I don't sit Jeffery. If he fails, he fails, but I'd rather lose a championship with him getting outproduced by someone that rarely would vs. sitting him, watching him explode and being sick to your stomach all off-season because you had the skill to draft a breakout like Jeffery but didn't leave him in.

Again, but, what are the alternatives?

@Smitty I have a really good feeling ty hilton goes off. I have gordon jeffery and bennett all going in one game. Some might say that its ridiculous to bring that argument to the table but I dont like "putting my eggs in one basket."

Now granted he has ap(and gerhart) but is also struggling with mjd not playing.

His team this week looks like this

    Brees
    Gerhart lynch

His flex is mjd. But if he doesnt play his alternatives are amendola golden tate tavon austin emanuel sanders and ellington. (He bid his last dollar on golden tate this morning)so maybe he plays him.

    Edelman cruz and andre johnson.

He played gates on thursday (2 points)

    Has arizona defense

1 IDP : Worrilow ( has been a stud, look into him in for 2014)

    Now my lineup concerns...

    I played peyton..19 points
I also have an idp concern. Kiko alonso might not play sunday and I have no money left to auction.

Smitty and everyone else what would you suggest I do?

I guess I'm not sure what your decisions are. What are the WR options and how many are you starting? Make sure you grab Todman so that he doesn't, in case he is on waivers. IDP, that I won't touch, there are better IDP folks on the forums than I, so post an IDP poll with all the available top 5ish IDP guys? Use a poll for that so its simple, people will vote more than respond to a big long IDP question :)

As for Jeffery, he starts for me no matter what. Then, you play TY as well, or is TY the guy that would replace Jeffery? And where does Bennett come into play? Flex or just an alternative. Lots of info here, getting lost a bit.

I start Spiller in place of Bell, but that's me, and I could easily see landing or missing on that. I don't even get how on earth you're considering benching Jeffery when he is your WR2, not even your WR3? Your only bench option at all is with your WR3, Bennett, who I would look to TY or Boykin, sure. Not that I wouldn't consider Bennett as well, but (while anything can happen) I couldn't even consider running Bennett out there over Jeffery. That's not even something I'd even think about considering about considering.

Martellus bennet is my only te. Reed is inactive. The tight end isnt in the flex. So essentially martellus is playing no matter what for me.

Ok, makes much more sense. And I meant Jeffery was your WR3, Dez and Gordon are your 1 and 2. I hear ya, anything can happen my man, but I go to battle with the guys that got me there and would be much more ok with losing that way then having the skill to get there with a guy like Jeffery and then not trusting the skill and it all being for nothing. Losing with your studs in your line up is easier than just wanting to smack your head against a wall. That said, if you have a gut instinct stronger than usual, it's tough to go against it.

I am almost betting lynch goes off. Gerhart or ap are going to get double digits at home reguardlesd with a great matchup. Spiller....second favorite player behind peyton....one of his biggest homers...im afraid to play him.. im afraid of that whole offense.
I sat bell thanksgiving because they were on the road and had a brutal matchup. Exploded having his best game of the year.

I think gordon has a respectable game but no where near what hes been doing. No way I bench him so please dont misinterpret.

Im really hoping dez has a big game. I need him to. He still has brees to play with me already playing peyton.

Add that to the woes on kiko maybe not playing and him having a hot idp lb like warrilow ( avg 13 points) that can cost me severely. ( I have no money to bid on a player so he may give me a goose egg)

    Really? Over McCoy, Forte, etc.?

Lynch has looked tired the last two games & the NYG run D is no joke. He's probably top 10 based on volume, but I'm curious what makes you so high on him this week. Thanks for all you do Smitty.

    Would you change anything?

    Right now I'm looking at:

    My team:

    QB- Foles
    RB1- Vereen
    RB2- Lynch
    WR1- Brown
    WR2- Green
    TE- Cameron
    W/R/T- Lacy
    DST- Saints

    Bench:
    QB- Romo
    RB- Starks
    WR- Jeffery
    WR- Douglas
    DST- Buffalo
    DST- Titans

    My Opponent:
    QB- Cutler
    RB1- McCoy
    RB2- Forte
    WR1- Marshall
    WR2- Cruz
TE- Thomas (8.90 pts last night)
    W/R/T- Fitz
    DST- Seattle

Projections are far from an exact science, so I have not good answer other than it felt right :) His yardage isn't crazy, I have him at just 110, but his second score is what has him finishing higher than normal. He may have no scores.

    Awesome, thanks Smitty.

Didn't mean to hijack the Alshon thread...

He Is very much in this question though...

I'd love to work him in my starting lineup, but at the expense of who?

Any chance you could answer that question above?

Thank you so much for all your efforts. This was my first front to back season with DraftCalc. I went 9-4, finished 2nd & secured a 1st rd bye. I couldn't have done it without drafting players like Josh Gordon (traded for Lynch), Shane Vereen & Alshon Jeffery; players I all learned about through your site. No matter what happens I feel pretty good about the lineup you've helped me construct week after week. This may not be the right spot to do this but, next week it's all over, so I just wanted to take this opportunity & say another sincere thank you to Smitty & the rest of DC Nation. I'll be back... Good luck!
