I know where Hopkins is a big piece missing in this. But with Watkins getting so much love on here I want to know if people forgot about Hopkins. Hopkins had a great year I'm for
    1.being a rookie
    2.horrible qb situation

    Hopkins : 52 rec 802 yds 2td

    So whats your verdict?

I think Watkins has the Josh Gordon aspect about him. Give him any QB, weak or strong and he will perform. Hopkins may indeed break out one day, but he needs the proper pieces around him I feel.

I've been kind of wondering about this too. It seems like Watkins is this year's Hopkins in terms the "it factor" and I think they both have a lot of potential. Hopkins put up decent numbers considering what you mentioned above. Imagine if they have a decent QB and they can develop some chemistry over the course of a season, not to mention that AJ is only getting older.

There was a post recently of giving up Hopkins and Sam Bradford in exchange for the opportunity to draft Watkins. Not saying I wouldn't do it (but I probably wouldn't), but I certainly wouldn't consider that a no-brainer. I think I will be in the minority on this.

On a side note, I plan to take Watkins (unless someone else emerges) with my 1.1 in the rookie draft, so I hope he's great. He sure looks like a playmaker.

I think Hopkins is a player, but I think Watkins is more athletic.

June 21- Dez Bryant finishes as the #1 WR in 2013.

I've seen Twitter that Obrien might trade for mallets. Imagine him and Hopkins. Has anyone seen that as well?

I haven't heard Mallets yet. I heard Cousins, but I'm sure that was just speculation. If they can trade for a young QB with upside and still keep the #1 pick, they would have to be ecstatic.

Also heard Mallet may go to Cleveland if McDaniels goes there....... he may be in demand all of a sudden.

I grabbed mallet in a few leagues as a flier right at the end of the year just to see if he might actually get moved.

Watkins is the new shiny toy and he's the consensus 1.01 at this point. Watkins will be valued higher than Hopkins throughout the entire offseason IMO. It will take on the field production in 2014 by Hopkins to change people's minds of this. Meaning that if Hopkins goes off this year and Watkins has an unspectacular rookie season, then more people may value Hopkins over Watkins. That may never happen though.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

Watkins hands down.  Hopkins could be a stud but he also could be Jahvid Best or David Wilson as early as this season.  Serious concusion issues are a major problem for WR in todays game.
I don't trust Adam Schefter and neither should you!!!
