I have felt I have had a championship contending team the past 3 years, but I haven't finished better than 5th in any season. I am able to produce some good regular seasons, but always fall on my face in the playoffs.
Standard offensive scoring with return yardage. Tackle heavy defensive scoring.
What should I be looking to do with this team?
QB - Ben, RG3, Manuel, Bradford, Campbell
RB - Rice, Morris, Gore, Ball, Pierce, Thigpen, Helu, Gray, Cunningham, Grimes, Royster
WR - Calvin, Julio, Dez, Britt, D. Harris, Patton, Cooper, D. Johnson, D. Thompson, J. Morgan, Hawkins, Jenkins, Posey
TE - Witten, Pitta, Kelce, Myers, Chandler
K - Vinateri
DL - Cole, Wake
LB - Poz, Kiko, Levy, Fokou, Teo, Henderson
DB - Bernard, Matheiu

I'd try and trade Rice before his value gets any worse...
I also wouldn't be afraid to trade one of your top 3 WRs for a lower ranked WR and some RB help

Sell high on Gore, maybe even Rice as well... Maybe go get one other underrated RB, like Doug Martin, using Gore and some draft picks. Or, use Gore to upgrade Ben or RG3 to Luck before Luck goes nuts?
I love the WRs, don't touch those,, but you I definitely move those Rbs around if the price is right. Trade Rice and Gore for a stud, if you don't do the Gore and upgrades (not named Rice or Morris) for the underrated Martin type. Side note, don't be afraid to hang onto Rice, though, don't sell cheap. He could rebound, but sell high if possible no question.
I love ya Smitty, but in what world is Bucky going to get any of those targets with an aging Gore and underperforming Rice?
Martin for Rice maybe....

1. Sell 1 or 2 QBs, even for late 2nds or 3rds. You don't need that many even in a 2 QB league IMO.
2. While I wouldn't WANT to move either player, shop your 3 most valuable commodities Calvin, Dez, Julio, to your entire league. Maybe someone who has a mancrush will overpay
3. Worst case, sit tight, you have a good team. If Rice bounces back, if Ball gets the starting gig next year, wow, you team dramatically improves.

Thanks guys.
This gives me some direction. I was just kind of lost as to focus on rbs or qb, etc. I have been exploring some trades with some of the players you mentioned.
