CJ Spiller projections.

This kid is going to be very controversial heading into this year. MFL has him projected for 1300/8 rushing and 52/515/3 receiving. Im pretty much with them but I know a lot of people arent expecting much. Lets hear yours.

I just traded him in my rebuilding league but have him in my contending league.. I expect big numbers from him now that he's healthy... That said if he gets an ankle sprain and they don't let him rest it again it will be another rough season

Good topic. I like your projections, but I have him for a touch less rushing yards but a couple more TDs, so pretty dead one... my projections: 1025 ru, 48 rec for 510 and 10 total scores. On my projections, he is 8th for ppr runners... not bad. Great value, I agree.

if used correctly this is spot on...here hoping they use him better than he been used in his whole career..

I think he's gonna beast. He really was banged up and injured all year. I think he rewards his owners with a monster year. Fred Jackson is like 67 years old and should finally start to show his age this year (I hope)

I think Spiller is a big bounce back candidate because playing through the injury really did affect him. One thing I don't like about Spiller is he's in a tough divison. Jets are elite against the run, Pats will be very tough with Wilfork back and a drafted DT. That's 1/4 of the season already I wouldn't feel comfortable starting him. He's not matchup proof IMO.

Yeah, it's buy-low time on all those guys (minus DAlexander, now that he is add/drop material in most leagues :)

Just a heads up, those projections were for 2013, not 2014. I know the MFL site has the projections listed as 2014, but they use the projections from fantasysharks.com. If you go to fantasysharks.com you'll see that they have not put out 2014 projections yet. I remember that this was Spiller's exact projections for 2013. You can verify this by looking at some of the projections for the 2013 breakout stars. Alshon....60/750/6. Yeah....These projections aren't current. LOL

I expect his numbers to land somewhere between his 2012 and 2013 numbers. I do not expect him to produce numbers better than 2012.

If we are predicting Spiller for 2400 yards and 12 TDs we are projecting him to finish RB1. It's just not going to happen IMO. I'm at the point where if I see him get 1000 total yards next year I'd be surprised. I would not give any first rounder higher than 1.7 for him.

I agree he is a bounce back candidate, but his "coaches aren't using him properly" is turning into "maybe coaches know something we don't" for me. I'm avoiding him unless the price is low

Coaches screwed him last year and he had an injury. Thats what i saw as a bills fan. They just ran fjax even when he wasn't making plays. As the season progressed and he got healthier they started giving spiller the ball more.

I was all in on Spiller and Miller last year. I still own Spiller in my keeper league, but, I am not optimistic and will only keep him if his ADP drops enough

FJax turns 33 in a few days and he played through rib and knee injuries last year...this guy has to slow down soon.

I agree with this to a certain extent. The types of plays they were running Spiller with was just brutal. Plus the lack of usage in the passing game was mind boggling IMO. That being said, FJax was pretty good in 2013. It's not like he was putting up TRich type YPC and they kept feeding him the ball anyways. FJax had 4.33YPC, close to 50 catches and 10 total TDs. I look for more of the same in 2014, but I do expect the offense to lean more to Spiller than it did in 2013. With the injury concerns of both Spiller/FJax, I see another committee approach in 2014.

I guess if I had to make a projection on Spiller, I'd say 205/1100/5 and 35/400/2. That would be 227pts in PPR and would have put him in that RB8-11 range in 2013. He'd need to stay healthy for this to happen though.
