Move Hopkins?

So this is a new twist to a trade I asked about a few days ago. Hopkins/2.10 for Ellington/Wheaton/Thompkins. I think I've been able to substitute Thompkins with Kelce/Khiry.

    Give: Hopkins/Gillislee/Mellette/Pettigrew/2.10

    Get: Ellington/Wheaton/Kelce/Khiry

I think I may pull the trigger on this. Gillislee/Mellette/Pettigrew are the players I'd have to drop to make the trade, so I added them into the deal to show what I'd actually be giving up. Thoughts?

I can see this one going either way. If you need a rb, take the Ellington side. I think Wheaton is in for a decent season, flex numbers. I'd your set at rb I'd go with the Hopkins side.

Only have Charles/Gio/Gore in a start 2-4 RB league. I go about 7 deep of startable RBs. Do Gillislee/Pettigrew/Mellette factor into the trade at all for you? For me they don't, but I wasn't sure if I was missing anything. I really like Khiry and think that Kelce provides nice upside at TE too, especially since this is a 1.25TE PPR league.

I know it's risky giving Hopkins and hoping for Ellington to break out, but I was hoping that Wheaton/Kelce/Khiry provide enough possible upside to take most of the risk out of the deal. I don't know, this is just difficult for me trying to properly value a lot of players that haven't really done anything. I have a much easier time trading Tier 1 studs than I do figuring out these types of deals.

I think this is pretty much Hopkins for Ellington, the extra pieces are not substantial in any way for me.

Oh screw it, it's Ferbuary. There's no need to be making trades in February that I need to be talked into. If I really liked this trade, I would have made it already. Thanks to those that talked me off the ledge for now.

I did just make a trade in another league that I liked. Hated giving up the picks this early, but I like the value I got in a league where you can start 5 WRs.

    Gave: 2015 1st/ 2015 2nd

    Got: TWill/Tavon

I liked being able to put the value of those picks on my roster this year. I think my WRs are setup nice, with a huge amount of possible upside for the long run.

Calvin/Julio to anchor and plenty of upside indeed. Also Wayne at least next year if none of your young guys come through right away

I am dubious about Austin ever giving consistent weekly production.

He will have weeks when he blows up for aome scores (hope your league gives you return yards and TDs). But, I don't see him giving you points you can count on.

Keep an eye on Wheaton. If Sanders goes, which he probably will, they will be looking to him. He could become pretty solid. Kelce is getting some love in KC again, too. I like the upside for you in the deal, but don't blame you for taking a pass on it.
