Is a deal possible here? (Ellington)

I posted about this in the Ellington hype thread. I talked to a guy about Ellington and he sent the offer of

I send: 1.02, 2.07

I receive: Ellington, 2.02

I rejected this of course but I have been talking to him still trying to acquire Ellington. I've tried Lattimore plus my 2nds, but he won't bite. He has said that the 1.02 would HAVE to be in play for me to acquire Ellington. Is a deal possible? I plan on starting 3 RBs and 3 WRs every week.

Edit: I typed his roster in and was thinking ouch but who knows, maybe one of you guys will see something that can make a deal work.

My team:

QB: Rodgers, Wilson

RB: LeSean, Martin, Peterson, Lattimore, D. Johnson, Todman

WR: Dez, Allen, VJax, Decker, Wayne, Stills

TE: Vernon, Fauria, Gresham

1.02, 2.07, 2.09

His team:

QB: Stafford

RB: Morris, Ellington, Tate, R. Mathews, Ballard, Baker, Leshoure, J. Stewart, Pierre

WR: M. Wallace, Woods, M. Williams, Maclin, Britt, Bailey, Goodwin, Patton

TE: Fleener, Griffin, Wright

1.03, 2.02, 3.02

keep the 1.02 IMO man

Yeah, 1.02 is too costly. The 2.07 and 2.02 aren't any big swap, so it's too much.

Maybe Decker for Ellington? Even Decker and a 2nd? If he knows you want Ellington bad, he won't let up on getting the world for him, so you may have to move on. You have to be careful how much you let on that you like a specific player or it's move on time.

The Ellington hype does need to calm a bit, because we could have the next Lamar Miller on our hands. We may have the next top 5-10RB, sure, he wouldn't be on my Upside Board if I didn't think there was that chance... but last year everyone went after Lamar Miller like he was already a top 15-18 overall pick (and he wasn't near that value) and many got burned. Ellington is no lock, he can't be acquired as anything but a flex (then hope for RB2 numbers, or better, no doubt!).

Yeah there is absolutely no way I am sending him the 1.02 without getting something good in return, because I was going to use that pick to get a WR.

Also, I'm in the thin here usually but I LOVE Lattimore, I'd have a hard time trading him

amen on lattimore in a strong running attack. az- who knows? mendenhall or even taylor might again out-rep ellington.

on a side note, John Bonham of Zeppelin, or Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience...each has their merits but is one 'better'' than the other

Ehh.. He'll be limited this year unless Gore gets hurt. No reason to rush Lattimore when they can keep running Gore into the ground. 2015 Gore is likely gone and then its Lattimores show IMO

I think once he said the 1.02 has to be involved, this deal was over. Happens a lot in trade negotiations. I was just trying to pick up a late 2d and an early 3rd for this year's draft because it's so deep and once the other owner started discussing future 1sts, I knew a deal wasn't going to happen.

Yeah I was just thinking with the way that SF runs Gore and at his age he could easily break down enough to where they have to feed Lattimore.

Just had the tables turned on this deal. He now has come at me with the 1.03 and wants Decker, Lattimore and the 2.07. I don't really like it but it's a lot better than it was yesterday.
