So what do the Panthers do now?

Their all pro left tackle retired...and the other tackle is a FA. I was really hoping that Car would use it's first round pick on a wr but now I'm not so sure they can afford to..their Super Bowl chances may be dwindling..

What do the panthers use their first round pick on?

    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

I think they go WR still and address OL later or in FA. Maybe Martin from the Dolphins? The good thing is that their QB is super mobile...the bad thing is he has no weapons.

I think this depends on the cap space that they have, and who might be available to them when they are on the clock.  There are some pretty good tackles on the FA market this year, so they could go that route.  I think they add a WR in FA, and then address that position again in the draft.  They might wait until the draft to start considering tackles, and hope they can land one in what should be a deep draft.  But remember, in the last few years, tackles have gone early and often in round one.

Makes more sense to draft an OT and sign a guy like Nicks for a cheap, 1 year deal.

They are considering releasing Steve Smith also FYI.  There is a lot of options for LT on free agent market this year surprisingly, they will go fast though.  I think Carolina will target a WR in the draft but by the time their pick comes they might be forced to look elsewhere.

Lots of FA WRs, Nicks, J Jones, Sanders, Decker, etc...

I am sure there will be FA OTs as well.

If they release Smitty, then they better get a FA WR, keep LaFell around on the cheap, draft a OT and WR in first 2 rds.  Both positions are deep in the draft, so they can be okay if they make the right moves.

I don't know much about the OT class, but it just seems like a good one would be more vital than a great wr. I think they should get James jones on a two year deal and pick a davante Adams type in the second round. It just seems like a LT is the priority here. That said, I wish they could go WR first :((

I think FA will shape everything here. If they are able to sign a OT or WR in FA, that will dictate their draft.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went neither and went like TE or something.  Get somebody like Amaro and float Olsen outside to the slot, or run more 2TE tight formations to run out of.

well Carolina won't be drafting high enough for one of the top 3 LT's but could land a top wr in rd's 1 or 2.  I think it all depends on best player available.  They can address issues in free-agency too.  ( don't think the LT market is great this off-season but Carolina may want experience over talent @ LT )  Cam definitely would be happy if they traded up for Auburn's LT but he will go top 7 picks I think.  Lt from Michigan will be steal of draft if he gets outside of top 15 picks.

I think the latest Robinson goes is 6 to what right now is the ATL spot.  Rams will take him #2 if they can't trade.   In my dream scenario the Rams trade with Cleveland for their first 2 picks then move from 4 to 6 so ATL can jump over Raiders and secure a DE.  Nobody has the right to crash my dreams, please don't respond let me dream.LOL

I think trading both of those firsts to move up a few spots is a bad idea for Cleveland...but then when do they make good decisions?
