Where does everyone rank this kid among TEs? Projections? Long term forecast? Is he a TE 1 in fantasy? Lets hear it.

TE2 with top 3 TE upside. I see him in the mold of Jason Witten. As long as Foles continues to be a monster, Ertz's limits are endless imo.

All he needs is the targets. I ran the numbers in another Ertz thread (you can do a search and find it). If you combine Ertz/Celek's numbers from 2013, they would have been the PPR TE3. If Ertz; absorbs all the move TE work and Celek's targets, the sky is the limity.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

I think his straight line speed may keep him from elite TE1-3 level, but he is a solid TE1 for years to come. Witten is a good comparison.

His best games were against Oakland Arizona Minnesota and struggled against better defences point wise. Having a year under his and Foles belt should pan out to be a great year together! How can not want a 6'5" 250 lb TE that can catch a ball like a monster Jimmy Graham does.
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Russell Wilson, EJ Manuel, Josh Mckown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Andre Johnson, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE Z Ertz, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
    DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
    K Steven Hauschka

I've been screaming his name for awhile...

His career path has reminded me of jimmy Graham's rookie season...

Guess I'll be the DC heel when it comes to Ertz. He has all the makings of solid TE1, don't get me wrong. I'd love to have him in the TE4-8 range for the future. Think Witten, Pitta, Olsen. Imo he will NEVER be in the same tier as Gronk and Graham. He just doesn't have the measurables.  His speed, arm length(catching radius) and hand size don't even compare to Graham or Gronk. So draft him as a great value right now for his ADP, but those here who think he's the second coming of the TE messiah, need to temper expectations.

I loved his game and drafted him on almost all my dynasty teams, he's got it factor he catches everything. But I agree he doesn't have god given measurable s, that said te3-4 would and can be fine..... I got him so late in rookie drafts last year rd3 and right now I wouldn't trade even in an oversell I'm just wanting to enjoy his rise, for me it was Ty Hilton the year before now its ertz...

I think the difference is that Ertz has a QB that will (hopefully) put up similar numbers to Brees and Brady while Witten, Pitta and Olsen do not.
