Kinda what I thought. I was trying to get Ball/1.05 and he countered with this. Said Murray was worth an early 1st and a late 1st to him. He considers Ball the early 1st, and the 1.10 being the late 1st obviously.

Ball side for me. I rank Ball higher than Murray in dynasty, although, of course I'd draft and trade to get more since that's what the market allows.

I know those taking Ball are taking him because they believe in him, so this is probably irrelevant to the Ball supporters....I also have CJ Anderson on this team as well, so I feel like I'd have insurance against anything wacky (besides Moreno returning) happening.

Ya...honestly I'm just not going to bother with Denver's rb situation this year unless value completely smacks me across the face. I LOVE a lot of smitty's calls but I don't really like ball, and his situation is pretty risky for his adp right now. I mean you take him with your 4th round pick and then they resign Moreno or it's a rbbc with Anderson and I think you ended up way over paying for him. That's just my opinion
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

murray...murray...murray....people are hoping ball becomes what murray already is....a 3 down complete rb....tell me this....its not out of the realm of possibility but what if Moreno does actually resign with the broncos?

There is risk that you will be right and something devastating happens, but Ball's higher ceiling makes it a risk worth taking. Plus, this is dynasty. I hear year, you make a great point, Murray looks safer at a glance, no question. I fear Murray staying healthy. He has just one year proven, and a year prior where we waited on him. He might shake the injury tag, I'm not suggesting that won't end up being the case, but I feel Ball and Murray both have risks.

And for full disclosure....I love montee...going back to last season he was my first pick in rookie drafts...I was very pro montee...stil am....but not at the cost of Murray and a pick....I'd just want more

What does the rest of the roster look like?

Dynasty - take a gamble on Ball and the pick. Ball could equal Murray in production if you include Murray's affinity for injury AND you'd be getting a pick in return. You could take another RB and have yourself two RBs versus one. Probably wouldn't do it straight up though.
DYNASTY TEAM QB(3) – Wilson, RB(4) – Mathews, Miller, Woodhead, Ivory, WR(5) – Garcon, Gordon, Hilton, Stevie J, Amendola TE – Gronkowski, Eifert
TAXI SQUAD - Montee Ball IR - Lattimore, D. Wilson

Who says Ball has a higher ceiling? When he was able to get on the field, he fumbled most of his opportunities away. Even if he could pass block and hang on to the football, Ball lacks lateral agility, quickness and overall athletic explosion to be a top 20 NFL RB.

Let's assume some we're in some fairy tale world in which everything I said about Ball was inaccurate and his ceiling was/is very high...what is Ball's floor? Second string RB in Denver behind CJ Anderson? In a pass first offense, no less. And what is Murray's floor? His 2012 campaign? I'll gladly take my chances with 10 games @ 13.5 per as the floor. It'd have to be a top 2 rookie pick with Ball to get Murray from me.

its not about ceiling for me...its about value....that's what fantasy football is all about...value...its what smitty keeps trying to shove at people....do I like khiry robinson?...not really....do I like him in the 14th round?...hell ya....if you really like khiry robinson and take him in the 6th round is that good value at this point?....hell no....so bottom line for me not matter what we "think" of montee....is his value near what murrays value is TODAY....hell no.....could montee end up with better numbers then murray this upcoming season?...sure he could....but today...his value is a couple rounds away for me.

I think Ball's perceived upside is also tied to his situation if Moreno is gone. Moreno is not an elite RB but posted elite numbers as the #1 RB in Denver.

I'm starting to think KM will be back in Denver
    My 2013 Predictions:
    [:(] C.J. Spiller Will Be The #1RB(Jan 9th)
[XXX] Demaryius Thomas will be the #1 scoring WR!(Feb 13th)
[XXX] Trent Richardson will NOT finish as a Top 10 RB!(June 4th)
    [:(] Rob Housler will be a Top 5 TE in 2013!(July 18th)
[XXX] Josh Gordon will put up a 80/1200/10 stat line in just 14 Games!(Sept 5th)

Well, the deal is off now anyways. The other keeps throwing me lowball offers, but as soon as something close to fair value is on the table he wants to "hold off" or "wait a little while". I'm done dealing with this guy, I hope Moreno finds no market and goes back to DEN just so I can laugh in this guy's face.

Moerno didnt put up top 5 numbers in that offense ? i dont think anyone here  will say he is elite talent either so i disagree ball can put up the numbers being less than an elite talent which i think he is a very good back..FF is about who puts up the best numbers right?

Moreno is infinitely more talented than Ball too. I see a lot of guys projecting Moresn's 2013 numbers to Ball's 2014 season. It won't happen.

Thats very debatable...I tend to disagree. Moreno is not that talented. He was a bust till Manning got there. He was a 1.01 in most rookie drafts and did nothing for 3 years after a decent rookie season.
