    How has this team not been more aggressive in signing a WR in free agency?? Am I missing something here? They already lost Steve Smith due to cutting, and Lafell and Ginn to free agency. Did I miss some under-the-radar signing.

    At this point I have to assume they go get James Jones.

    Think they also are forced into a position to maybe give Britt a chance on a one year minimum salary deal?

    Sorry if I've missed any offseason acquisitions for them ... But I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything.

    They lost 2 or 3 starters on the O-line (I think 2 guys retired and maybe another lost in FA), Cam is going to his bell rang this year.

    Maybe they are going to go the route of building through the draft.  This year's class is deep in WR's.

    Seems odd that last season's 12-4 NFC South Division Champs and playoff team would decide to start rebuilding the WR corps from scratch.  At the very least, you would keep your WR1 when you have to pay him 3 million dollars to cut him.  I know it would have been another 4 million if they kept him, but still.  I don't buy the whole story about Smith not letting Cam Newton lead.  

    Maybe GM Dave Gettleman thought he could lowball Hakeem Nicks since Charlotte is his hometown.  James Jones doesn't seem like a WR1 to me.

    After further thought, I'm not sure the Panthers administration believe that the Panthers are a true 12-4 team, which might make sense.  They would never say that to the fans, but I think that they believe they still have to rebuild and not reload.

    There's some reason why the vets on the offensive side of the ball are bailing on the team.

    Well, as a Britt owner I really feel this is the only place Britt could redeem himself, if redemption is possible for him. Fingers crossed!

    The wrs they had needed to go. The FA wrs in this class were nothing to brag about.. They'll build a young core from the draft for cheap

    [XXX] Demaryius Thomas will be the #1 scoring WR!(Feb 13th)
    [XXX] Trent Richardson will NOT finish as a Top 10 RB!(June 4th)

    [XXX] Josh Gordon will put up a 80/1200/10 stat line in just 14 Games!(Sept 5th)

    Makes perfect sense to me. As a person in management, it is the respectful way to signal to someone to take a different offer. 

    Let's see how everybody feels when they sign two guys like Cotchery and Britt, draft a quality WR in round 2 or 3, and McNutt and King both step up this year.
