Tate trade

    @rabidbucfan and I executed a Tate trade and i wanted to see what everyone thought of it.  There was a second aspect of this trade which was PT and 2.7 for 3.7.....was added to the original offer to get me back a RB.

    I gave Tate and got 1.6.  This is DC 2QB league so a few qbs are expected to go early.  Figure this is about 1.5 or 1.4 in a standard league.  Disregard rosters as my roster is in shambles.

    Thoughts?

    If your set at QB its prob ok value for Tate. Prob a top 2 rookie RB there. I would say its prob even value.

    Not that you CAN'T land a player as good at 1.6, but i take Tate all day long at this value. See @swampies :)

    Its a 2 QB league though so possibly 2 or 3 QBs go in the top 5 so the pick is even better if you dont need a QB.

    I think it's more than great value on the Tate side, as the 1.06 has an ADP in the 6-7th or so.  The 5-6th to play it way, way safe.

    I hope to add the rookie draft selections to the trade calcs soon, FYI.

    I saw Tate for 1.6 as fair - my only thought was that with no first rounders I needed to get another 2nd so now I have (2.2, 2.6, 2.7) using the calcs as guides PT and 3.7 for 2.7 is a wash so since I'm ok at QB (Ryan, McCown, Bradford) and RB (M. Ball, J. Bell, Forte, Tate, Rice) the 2nd rounders can help me with WR/TE or over all depth. How my brain saw it.

    Yeah, not saying the 1.6 got taken, heck MJD was a 1.6 back in what back in 2008? Im just saying its not overpaying for Tate whatsoever.

    I think this is pretty normal.  It's good to see the value is somewhat even.  Other thing to consider is that in a 2 qb league many teams won't trade out of the top 5 rookie picks.  I think the trade was good for both teams.  Rabid and I always seem to have decent trade chemistry (except my ill fated peyton for a first trade last offseason lol)

    I agree i would've liked to get a bit higher, but i'm not a Tate believer so i did want to sell.
