What do people expect out of him this year and going forward?

Tough to say.Ryan Fitzpatrick and Case Keenum are decent actually, not great but decent... but will they draft a rook and plug him in? Tough to say there will be consistency. If there is, I like 1000 and 5-7? I love his future.

no clue until QB is ironed out, WR2 is absolute ceiling while AJ is still productive, right now I'm not even expecting bye week flex play out of Hopkins

It is interesting to see how the offense pans out since O'Brien is the coordinator. Last year at Penn State, the WR1 (A. Robinson) had 1400 recieving yard while the WR2 had a huge dropoff and had 300 yards. It'll be interesting to see how a WR2 can fit in his offense.

I wouldn't put much stock into that...for one thing, I don't think O'brien is going to bring his playbook over from penn. I am also willing to bet that the talent gap between Andre and deandre is a lot smaller than that of Robinson and penn's number 2
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

Not expecting him to set the world on fire until he gets consistent QB play, but his stock will skyrocket when he does. He lacks protypical size which may cap him from elite production, but he has elite talent. Don't let anyone (haimez) talk you into concussion concerns:) He has none.

Hopkins produced right out of the gate last year, just as many expected him too. Schaub turned into a turd, and the QB play (and offense as a whole) never got going the rest of the year. To see Hopkins produce that quickly gives me a lot of hope for him in the future. If the QB is stable this year (doesn't even have to be great, just stable), I can see Hopkins going for 1050/7.

For as bad as last year was, he still had 52/802/2. I don't think it's going to take much for Hopkins to get to 1k yards this year, but the TDs may still not be there.
    2014 predictions

(3/16) Toby Gerhart will have 1400 total yards and 8TDs
(3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR

I will be the negative ninny again and bring up he could be done with football any moment. His concussions are a concern. Talent wise he is a beast.

I'll jump in again as well with a not so sunny prognostication - He will never be a WR1 / a good solid WR2 maybe, but no way he gets open if a team starts doubling him, he does only 1 thing great, catch the ball, but guys that don't get open must be 6'4" long-armed jumpers, not 6'1" relatively slow and not lightning quick. He'll do fine opposite an elite talent in single coverage, forget about it in double

Not sure of who will throwing him the ball but I could see 61/875/8

I do see very good to elite talent, he can catch the ball like very few can and that alone makes him a valued WR1/2 one day.  Prob not ever going to be elite top 5, but I see top 10 down the road, AS LONG AS THEY GET A QB....

For this years productions guesses, why would anyone have him at 7-8 TDs? Andre Johnson rarely does that on this team... Until Foster wears down, and a solid QB can find WRs in the red zone, the TD production of Andre Johnson and Deandre Hopkins will be around 2-5 each.  I do expect the yards to be there 900ish for Deandre, and 1,300 for AJ though

Their HC made Matt Cassel look like a pro bowler. Texans got major facelift. New offense is gonna be totally different then Kubiak as coach. I'm not gonna say they will win but putting up points shouldn't be an issue.

If healthy I could easily see 65/1100/5 out of him. That would be my floor.

I'm buying Hopkins in all my leagues while the price tag is still affordable.

Where would he slot in this year with respect to Watkins and Evans and what rookie pick would you be willing to move for him.

This. I'd give the 1.04 for him maybe the 1.03 would depend on how the draft goes.

Would be looking at moving the 1.07.

Previously was considering taking Ebron depending on how first 6 picks go.

Late first/early second for me.  There are a couple WR in the right spot I would take over him.  His talent makes him worth a shot, but I wouldn't be shocked if he has to retire early in a year or 2 either.

Haimez, first let me say I enjoy your insight. You are an asset to DC. BUT, your opinion on Hopkins is a bit extreme IMO. I will be the first to give it up to you if that actually happens, but until then...C'MON MAN!

I really like him.  I just think he has an issue that people overlook.  We all loved Jahvid Best before it was obvious he couldn't bounce back from concussions also.  Me included.  Talent wise I really like him, I'm just skeptical if he can stay healthy with his style.  He is a slower physical WR and once AJ goes he will go across the middle more.

Edit: I hope I'm wrong with this one.
