Ellington for L-Fitz

Owner hit me quick with this one.  He's in a trading mood.  I'm not so quick to pull the trigger but he offered me:

    Larry Fitz and the 3.04
    for
    Ellington and Denarius

I would roll with Stafford/Lynch/Stacy/Gordon/Fitz/Twill/Pitta or Rudolph.  Still have young talent developing at WR in Hunter/Wheaton/Boykin.  But RB is kinda hurting with only Woodhead and Donald Brown as my flex play at RB.

What should I do?  Trust Fitz or stick with the potential breakout candidate Ellington?

I think it's close, but I'd rather have Ellington.

But team need wise, Fitz! Trade Lynch? Fitz ain't bad, but value wise, Ellington.

I took the deal based on team needs.  Fitz is the safer play IMO.  This could go both ways but it is tough having the small ellington play seattle, san fran, and st louis all twice a year each.  3 top defenses in the league.  I can roll with Stafford/Lynch/Stacy/Gordon/Fitz/TWill.  Fitz will give my young wrs a chance to develop(Wheaton/Hunter/Boykin).

Fitz could have a nice 1-2 more strong years. It's not bad at all.

You only see 1-2 more good years from him?  He will turn 31 at the end of August.  He seems like one of the more physically gifted, and hardest workers at the position.  As well as Andre is doing at his age, I felt good about getting Fitz for the near future as my WR2.  He has the size to where he will always be a redzone target even as he gets older.

    Maybe I'm wrong?

2 is a long time. Sure, 3 could be possible with Fitz, but playing well at 33 is a lot to expect. Rare.

I am trading for Fitz in dynasty, though! 2 years is fine by me.

Any ideas on moves to make now?

My league is so low on Lynch it is laughable.  I have 2 2015 1sts.  Only pick left for 2014 is 3.09.

It's not just your league, it's all leagues. You're probably best to hold onto Lynch until we get closer to the season starting. Once rookie fever is over and owners are worried about filling lineups and scoring points, Lynch's value will go back up some.

That's why I said it could go both ways.  But if the cards are having to play catch up then that's gonna be fitzy and ellington will be stuck with no carries because you have to throw to catch up.

ellington is good out of the backfield too.. but fitz is getting to the age where he will begin to get shutdown by younger CB now..but JMHO..

I see Fitz build like Andre Johnson.  If not better.  AJ just put up 1400 yards in year 32(turns 33 in July).

I guess related to this thread and fitzgerald would be the offer I got of Mathews/Floyd for Stacy/Fitz.  Do I take Fitz' replacement and get younger?
