I understand, It's always difficult to determine a value on a player prior to the NFL Draft, especially with RBs.

Do you think the Jags roll with this guy? It makes sense, considering they are rebuilding in other places. He has low miles, and they can use Todman in tandem with him.

What would you spend on him? I think a mid to low 2nd round rookie pick is about right.

It looks like Jax will use a mid rd pick on a rb so he'll probably begin the season as the starter but by mid season he'll be part of a rbbc.

Gut call for me and mine tells me Todman will end up taking the lead RB Role this season.
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Nick Foles, Russell Wilson, Josh McCown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE Z Ertz, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
    DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
    K Steven Hauschka

(I'm not a expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!)

Gerhart's going to be the workhorse this year IMO. Look at my sig for my BOLD Gerhart prediction.
    2014 predictions

(3/16) Toby Gerhart will have 1400 total yards and 8TDs
(3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR

I'm torn on Gerhart.  He looked very plodding in spot duty last year.  But in years prior to that, he really was a strong fantasy option in the Vikings attack while ADP was shelved.  He's a decent pass catcher too.  I think he has potential for a top 10 season.  The Jags appear to me to be building something good finally.  They still need the QB but other positions are coming into place.

2nd round rookie pick feels right to me.  As much as I think he is going to have a nice year, I also think it'll be short-lived for 1, maybe 2 seasons max.
    TEAM 1 - Dynasty PPR, start 1 QB / 2 RB / 2 WR / 1 TE / 1 FX
    QB - Brees/Luck
    RB - Lynch(Michael,Turbin)/Stacy/Martin/Spiller
    WR - Megatron/Julio/Dez/Keenan/Rueben/Cordarelle
    TE - Graham/Julius

I agree with your assessment, but I think he's definitely worth a 1st. Most likely a late 1st, but some sort of 1st no less.

I agree. I think they're going to use him like a rented mule this year.

I really like Gerhart's chances,  JAX has done a lot with their O'line and although Todman is very good, the combo would be a great tandem.  This guys is a vastly underrated athlete, 230 pound guy with 4.5 forty and 38" vertical, not to mention a shuttle time I believe of 6.9.  You would be hard pressed to find 5 guys with that size/speed/explosion combination.  I see him being a workhorse spelled by Todman.  I looked at his carries in Minn. and his ypc were incredible.  Every game he was putting up 6, 7, 8 yards a carry.  I'm not saying that will play out as a full time back, but he certainly showed it on the field in limited carries.

Jacksonville has RBBC written all over them. There is also Denard Robinson in the mix too. Apparently he's gained about 15-20 lbs with intensions of increased playing time. He's committing himself to the RB position and distancing himself from the "Offensive Weapon" tag that he had going into last season.
    QB - RG3,Cutler, Osweiler, Keenum
RB - McCoy, LeVeon Bell, Moreno, Bryce Brown, K Hunter, Denard
WR - Torrey, TY Hilton, Andre Johnson, Hartline, K Thompkins, Royal, Givens
    TE - Clay, Dwayne Allen
    K - Prater

This is what I am seeing.

RB: McCoy, Miller, Stacy,F. Jackson, Lattimore, R. Jennings, Gerhart, L. Murray
    WR: Cruz, Blackmon, Gordon, Jeffery
    TE: J. Thomas

Will have to drop to 12 before draft
    Team 2
    QB: Peyton, Keenum, Glennon, Cousins
RB: Spiller, Ball, Miller, Moreno, Pierce, Polk, Todman, Randle
WR: Marshall, Gordon, Jeffery, Jennings, Austin, Hartline, Matthews, Sanders
TE: M. Bennett, Cook, L. Green

This kid can handle a load but there is little burst. He'll just have to push the line and he's no AP to do that. Todman will be a fine grab once they see he's more of a Brandon Jacobs than a Bradshaw type.

I agree, I'm going to try to scoop him up where I can.

I'm in this boat. I have him now on the cheap but I may have to cut him due to limited roster spots.

I see RBBC forming as well not only will they gonna draft a back but its certainly gonna be a few breakout games by Robinson this season which will yield more carries. That being said I still view Toby as a top 15rb this season 276/1150/9

    I just got offered a 3.05 pick for Gerhart... rejected it and wrote back to the owner that he's worth way more than that!  And go figure that was from a guy that complains about getting low ball offers!  8-}
