    Report: Vikes don't want to hold onto Adrian Peterson

    (10:15 am ET) The Vikings would like to part ways with running back Adrian Peterson "sooner rather than later," reports Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman. Peterson just turned 29 and is due to make base salaries of $11.75 million and $12.75 million the next two seasons.
    Freeman contends that's "an impossible salary structure to pay a player in today's game, where the running back position has been greatly devalued."

    An AFC general manager told Freeman he expects this season to be Peterson's last with Minnesota.

    When it comes to my Vikings i get scared. I can't rule it out since we have seen Emmitt wear a Cards jersey. But it just wouldn't male sense.

    What they pay him in salary is nothing compared to the merchandise and tickets AP sells. And what network would put that team on a national game without AP. I dont see it. And they are building a new stadium right? Gonna be tough to fill it then. They would be dumb to do this. Prob not bad football decision but terrible business decision.

    You need to find a startable QB before you worry about payong a QB. Hopefully they've cracked the code with Teddy B.
