Gordon, everyone so blind?

Sorry this will definitely come off as a bitter post.  But how could everyone on this board be so blind about the potential year suspension with Gordon?

I came to you all with many offers I had for Gordon that I felt were great and you all shooed them away like they were worthless.  I said I was worried about his suspension but still you all said I should get more in return.

And now here I am stuck with this guy on my bench with no value when I could've had Dez, among other offers.

Just feels like such a waste of acquiring talent to build on only to have these plans put on hold for another year while I wait on this guy's value to go back up.

    Flame away.

We give you our opinion to your question. And our opinion is not swayed by yours. Why would you ask us if you want to direct us to the answer you want? If you dont like or want the guy get rid of him but dont blame us because you didnt. At the end of the day you have to read what people write and make up your own mind. Any forum would suck if people didnt answer honestly and just told people what they wanted to hear.

And Gordon is a hold for me in dynasty cause 1 year does not make an entire career. If he gets a full year. The Browns arent cutting him either.

+1. We're here to give OUR opinion and try to come up with the best answer we can given current market value/risk/etc. Ultimately, it's up to you to make decisions for yourself. If you were THAT worried about Gordon (which I don't blame you, that's why I own Gordon NOWHERE), then you should have sold for whatever you deemed to be fair compensation. Nobody's being forced to subscribe to group think.

Trust me, I know where you're coming from. I post here all the time when I get trade offers that I'm on the fence about, and I don't take those decisions lightly. However, I make my own decision at the end of the day. If the advice here sways me one way or another and the decision ends up being wrong; That's on me, not the people who gave me advice.
    2014 predictions

(3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR

When a stock is worth $100 and it dips down to $10 you shouldn't think "SELL SELL SELL!!"... It's at the point where it's much more likely that you'd get better value out of Gordon if you kept him than if you sold him.
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

    This.

I know where you're coming from though. Last fall a few weeks into the season I put out the question on trading Lamar Miller. I got an offer of Montee Ball straight up for Lamar. I'm obviously kicking myself for not trading even though I could see then that Miami's coaching was horrid by not giving the ball to Lamar. It was really frustrating to see this and I lost my first 3 games of the year too. Every single person that responded said I was selling low. I think people do tend to get too high on certain players but branch is right. You're ultimately making the final decision.
    QB - RG3,Cutler, Osweiler, Keenum
RB - McCoy, Moreno, Bryce Brown, K Hunter, Denard
WR - Torrey, TY Hilton, Andre Johnson, Hartline, Stills, K Thompkins, Royal, Givens
    TE - Clay, Dwayne Allen
    K - Prater

And the only things I post on here are deals that I'm really sure about and I just want to double check, or deals that I'm on the fence about and I want to hear over sides of the argument on. Never let us, or anyone else for that matter, make a decision for your team entirely...if that's the case then you aren't even really managing your own team...you have to make he calls, we are supposed to be the voice of reason and logic.

These guys have covered it, so I'm not going to elaborate too much further. In the end YOU have to decide what's best after weighing the "opinions" of everyone here. I recently made a trade that was getting negative feedback from people here, in the end I decided it was the direction I wanted to go and felt it helped my team out so I went ahead and overpaid to get the player I wanted.

If you could have had Dez, you should have taken that.  Not sure whether that offer was before or after the possible suspension news.  If it was before, then it's arguable to keep Gordon or vice-versa.  I just traded the 1.11 in a 12-team non-PPR league for Josh Gordon and the 1.12 in a 14-PPR league for him.

This. I've done trades that have made people on this forum laugh at me and think I'm nuts, yet I ended up smelling like roses a few months later. Nobody knows for sure what the future holds, trust your gut!

    His value never rebounded.

I like this analogy, as I look at my rosters as "portfolios", not teams. If one of you investments lose 15% of their value and are trending down, then you could definitely look to sell to shed the risk of losing more value. If one of your most expensive assets have lost 90% of their value, there's a lot more risk in cutting your losses now as opposed to holding and hoping for a rebound.

People say things like "everyone is so blind" and "I could see it so clearly"...if thats the case why are you asking strangers? LOL. Sounds like some people have confidence issues.

I would agree with this. I know for me I need to trust my gut more. But a big part of this forum is to maybe get other info or opinions that you haven't thought about yet. Even though I got talked out of the Lamar/Montee trade I've also been talked out of bad trades too. The thing with the Lamar trade is that I saw what was happening but I chose to ignore my gut and what I saw. Live and learn.

Absolutely. But if everyone says go jump off a bridge I prob wouldnt, lol. Always follow your own gut and not someone elses. They might be hungry for something else and it might not be good. Everyone is wrong sometimes.

3 things Ive never done as a man:
    1. As a man (or boy) I can thankfully say Ive never taken a picture of myself (selfie)
    2. As a man Ive never whined about how bad my life is or how bad I feel on a social media site.
    3. As a man Ive never blamed any decision Ive made on someone else.

My children, in particular my 8 year old daughter, has done all 3.

This thread is hilarious. If you don't want opinions, then don't play fantasy football because it's full of them, and certainly don't go on a forum specifically asking for them!
