    Random, but could someone please explain to me the purpose/usefulness of Instagram??? I know what it's used for, but why in the hell do people use it? Why do people post a picture on Instagram only to link it in a post on Facebook or Twitter.... what is the reason for the extra step, I can post it on either without the extra process of using Instagram. Is there a legitimate reason for using this service that I'm just not seeing???

    I don't really get it either...and I'm 18 so I should! Lol, I see your point. All my friends tell me to get one but I don't see why. Honestly I think it's so that teenage girls can take pictures of themselves and feel special and guys go over there to see the girls. I'll pass

    Instagram is social media, which is a means for people to assess the value of their lives.  We live for "likes" now, not for actual interpersonal relationships.

    Honestly, it's mostly a means for attractive young women to become public so they can either prostitute themselves or get hooked up with actors or ballplayers.  There's alot of instagram creeping going on where famous athletes hook up with girls just by "following" them.  Your boy Colin Kaepernick is well known for this lol.  Other function is to post food pictures so that you don't have to talk to the people you're sitting at the table with at the restaurant lol

    Instagram is something for your phone that is linked to your twitter. Basically people take worthless pics of themselves and their food and show it off for the world

    My sister-in-law posted pictures of her new baby on Instagram BEFORE e-mailing pictures to the family or letting us come to the hospital to see it!!  I had to open an Instagram account just to see the pictures.  Once we were allowed to go visit them, I deleted the account.
