IDP is very arguable, and even I have 1-2 oversights most updates, it happens when you try and clean up older rankings, or if you do weekly updates, as some players gradually climb ranks and slip through.

    Great job!

Thanks for putting this together.  Scoring system matters greatly, but I think there are some pretty big misses that I'd point out.  Of course, these are just my opinion but wanted to just mention a few things.  Also, for the record, I'm too lazy to go through and jot down who isn't on the list but should be.

    LB'ers:

Laurinaitis: too high.  Not even best IDP on his team.
Bowman:  too high.  Guy likely to start on PUP and injury risk.
    Kendricks:  should be higher.
Ogletree:  should be higher than Laurinaitis
Willis:  hasn't done much in 2 years.  Too high based on name alone.
Butler:  Too high.  Guy should be much better than he is.
Worrilow:  Way too low.  Guy was a beast and has a 3 down job locked up.  Should be in the 6-12 range.
    Trevathan:  Also too low.
Carter:  Guy may not even start.  Even if he does, he likely doesn't have a full time role.  Should be unranked in a top 50.
    Freeman:  too low
Cushing:  Much too low.  Injury risk sure, but you have Bowman at #9.  Cushing is a top 12 talent if healthy.
Minter:  Much too low.  3 down player in a great system.  Top 25 a lock with #15 possibility.  #42?
Collins:  Depends on scoring system.  Bonus points for big plays and this guy can be top 12.  Regardless of system #45 is off.
Woodyard:  3 down role puts him in a top 20 lock.  He has no business being behind Carter.

    DB's:

Church was #1 last year, so he deserves to be higher than #12.
Barron too high.  #2?  Guy wasn't even a top 15 safety and we are adding CB's in the same list.  Headscratcher.
    Aaron Williams too low.
Swearinger too high.  No way anyone takes Swearinger over a guy like Calvin Pryor.
Pryor is a top 10 lock.  Guy is going to be a machine.
Clinton-Dix too high.  He's going to be playing free safety and too far away from the LoS to have an impact.  Shouldn't be top 50.
Hall #36?  Guy has been the #1/#2 CB for the last 3-4 years and outperforms many safeties.  Should be top 15 IMO and I'd much rather have Hall over walking injury Tillman (#32)

    DL's:

JPP much too high.  Been there, done that.  Let someone else take this guy based on 1 season 3 years ago.
    C.Johnson:  too high
    Ninkovich too low
Vernon...stud.  Too low.  Should be top 5 IMO.
    I'm too lazy to continue.

I don't play IDP, but thought I'd chip in what I could from the Pats. I expect Chandler Jones to have a monster season. Coming into his prime and playing with the best defensive he's ever been on. Especially with Wilfork and Mayo back healthy and the depth of the DL. Darrell Revis will be huge for his sack numbers. I see he's ranked 3rd but fully expect him to make good on that ADP. I wouldn't touch any of the DB's. I think Mayo will be a huge value coming off injury. I expect him to lead the team in tackles with Wilfork eating up the blockers.

Where in rookie drafts do IDP players normally start going off the board in bunches? I'm in one now and Clowney went 1.11.

Great question @bk19. Answer is it depends on the league. Scoring and roster rules have a large bearing on when idp's start coming off the board. If scoring allows a LB to get as many points as a RB2 then thats where he gets drafted. Check your player scores from previous seasons and you'll find tiers within each position. Only reach for top tier guys in each position and realize that the ww is your friend when it comes to idp.
    Good luck

Great job on the rankings. IDP is different than the offensive side of the ball. League settings mean a lot but as just a general ranking I think it is good. Several players could be moved around but I don't see anything wrong with where they are. Everyone just has to remember each set of rankings you find are someones opinion and just a guide. I love Smitty's rankings here and use them as my base for player values but go with my gut if I think he has a guy higher/lower than I believe he should be.

I agree with Willis being too high, but with Bowman out it's a good spot to seat him for now.  I'm not sold on Kendricks with the Eagles drafting Smith in the first round... those Eagle LB's are about as bad as the Giants imo.  Most of the mid-range LB's you have listed are interchangeable as far as between 20 thru 35.  Dansby seems a tad too low, but it's understandable with people so high on Kirksey.  (Personally, I think the sleeper will be Craig Robertson.)  I won't mention the two that aren't on this list that I'm going to try to get... too many people in my upcoming waiver pickup list that read this.

Jared Allen is in Chicago now.  You've got him listed wrong.  I would include DT Gerald McCoy in your rankings... I would think he deserves atleast a low 47 rank.

Great list, but must be dynamic to ever changing situations.

With Sean Lee likely done for the year (probable ACL tear today), who will be his replacement in Dallas and where would they rank on the LB list?

I'll get that changed. Those were the types of mistakes I overlook when looking at som many different players.

The Lee injury probably saved Bruce Carter a job.  Carter stands to gain the most here IMO.  As far as a MLB  replacement it's too early to 100% know and is up in the air.  I think DeVonte Holloman is severely underrated and should get a shot to win the job.  I'm a big fan.  Dallas drafted Anthony Hitchens from Iowa this year, but I am not a fan.  Mediocre talent at best.  But as we all know, sometimes opportunity matters more than skill level.  I don't think Hitchens can cover a lick, so if he wins the job, I wouldn't expect a 3 down role.  If you have expanded rosters during the offseason I would pick up both Holloman and Hitchens and hold them both until the situation clears a little.

Nice work Bucky.  Not an easy task.  The only glaring one is Cushing is much too low imo.  Other than that, DB is a crapshoot year to year so it's hard to argue any rankings and DL looks pretty good.

    16 Team, .5 ppr, 40 man rosters, 8 additional taxi squad spots, Start: 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 2DT, 2DE, 3LB, 2CB, 2S
QB - Ryan / RB - Miller, Bryce Brown, Helu, Mike Gillislee, Daniel Thomas, Stefan Taylor, Benny Cunningham / WR - Calvin, Gordon, Givens, Britt, Streater, Patton / TE - Gronk, Cook / K - Dustin Hopkins / DT - Star Lotulelei, Jurrell Casey / DE - Jordan, Clayborn, Wolfe / LB - Washington, Cushing, Beason, Demario Davis, Minter / CB - J. Jenkins, Shields, Verner, Robert Alford / S - Cyprien, DJ Swearinger
