(Rotoworld)Julio Jones confirmed that the right foot fracture he sustained in Week 5 last season is in the same spot as his 2011 fracture.

Analysis: Jones explained that he's been cleared to run and cut, but will not be participating in team drills at next week's mandatory minicamp and hasn't caught any passes from Matt Ryan this offseason. The Falcons are wisely taking it slow. "It is a serious injury, and knowing that I broke the same bone in a different spot over the course of two years," Jones said. The Falcons remain extremely optimistic on their star receiver's progress, declining to add any real depth at wideout despite shifting to a three-receiver base.

That foot scares the heck out of me.

Yeah, I read the hardware issue. This is the 1st I read that Julio confirmed he rebroke the same bone.

The initial report was a broken screw when everyone was speculating about Julio's injury. A broken foot was confirmed by the famous Dr Anderson within a couple of days after the injury.

Ya...I don't really care. Since they put in a new TITANIUM screw, it makes it less likely to break than before. I know that it's happened twice now, but that apparently doesn't make it any more likely to happen a third time. I've done my research, Julio is my favorite player so trust me I have. the odds of him reinjuring the foot are astronomically small. The only plausible concern would be that he can't move and cut the way that he used to but I have supreme confidence in his recovery
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

This reminds me a lot of rg3s knew actually...when he tore it in the playoff loss people were shouting from the rooftops that he would never be the same...? But he had ALREADY HAD THAT INJURY AND ALREADY recovered to his normal self in college....same thing with julio

The bone is breaking...not the screw. Mid foot injuries are one of the worst an athlete can have. Thats why the Lisfranc is so dreaded. If this wasnt a DC golden boy people here would be running for the hills, lol. This is as bad a chronic issue as it gets.

I know the bone broke. I didn't say that it was the screw. At lead he doesn't have concussion problems lol

I had ankle injuries in high school, broke my left ankle twice playing basketball in the neighborhood during football season.  They never fully recovered till I quit sports all together in college and took a year off.  Obviously he has better Dr than me and that was more than a couple years ago and science is better, but still those bones and tendons are slow to heal.

All that said for the right price I want Julio, but he might be slightly overrated at this time.  I don't bump in down in rankings at all though till it proves to be an issue again.

Don't bones heal faster than ligaments? I had multiple docs always tell me it was better to break an ankle than sprain it completely.

why would titanium be less like to break? it actually is more fragile as the tensile strength is so great it breaks insteads of bending like a steel one..not an expert or anything but where did yo give information on this as i like to hear more about it?

Agreed.  We were/are still in denial.

The screw doesn't have to break for the bone to break.  now that we know the bone broke "for sure", it's chronic imo and he should be dropped down rankings if he hasn't already.  i'd be ok removing him from Teir 1 wrs at this point.  no way i'd take julio about the other top guys

He didnt break an ankle from what Im reading. He (re)broke a small bone in his foot. Prob the worse bone in the body to break for an athlete.

Tough to talk in generalizations because all bones are different. Small bones in the mid foot are a terrible break for someone 220 lbs that runs, cuts and plants at top speed for a living. Tibia or some other long bone no problem though. Start adding hardware and its even worse hence a 2nd break.
