My 5 Dynasty Stashes
  • wh0urdady June 24

    I have
been debating doing a youtube video on my 5 Dynasty Stashes.
Figured I would do a write up, and see what any of you thought. Keep in
mind these are dynasty stashes, who likely will not produce this year.

Player 1. Josh Boyce WR Patriots - 2nd year
He is currently fighting for a roster spots on what is currently a
crowded WR corps. Currently behind Amendola, Dobson, and Edelman.
Boyce is a slot receiver, who in my opinion is a Percy Harvin clone,
without the migraines. He started coming on late last season before
injuring his ankle and winding up on IR. He has been lighting it up in
OTAs, yes it just practice, but it is something to keep an eye on.
Will have more value in PPR

Player 2. Robert Herron WR Bucs - Rookie
With the top 2 WR spots taken with VJax and Evans, there is an spot open
for the slot. Herron has amazing speed and great hands which can have
him taking this spot as early as this year. Issue is how many 3 WR sets
will they will run, and if they run a 3 WR set, will Tim Wright take
that spot. I look for Herron to contribute immediately, and may go
undrafted in 4 round rookie drafts. Will have more value in PPR and
    possibly in return yardage leagues.

Player 3. Alfred Blue RB Texans - Rookie
Rookie out of LSU, Alfred is a big back with decent speed and great
Hands. He has already drawn comparisons to Arian Foster(not proclaiming
a future all star) as a rookie. He has a mean stiff arm, and knows how
to pick up yards. If Foster goes down, look for Blue to take over this
year. Will go undrafted in a 4 Round Rookie draft

Player 4. Jared Abbrederis WR Packers - Rookie
Abbrederis is an amazing route runner with good hands. He can do what
Aaron Rodgers needs, get WIDE open. He likely will never be a top 12 WR
for fantasy, but he could easily be WR2-3 on the Packers in a year or
two if they team does not resign Cobb and Nelson. Watch this kids tape
against Bradley Roby, a top CB in the draft that was abused by Jared.
Will possibly go late 4th Round in a rookie draft or undrafted all
    together.

Player 5 - Jalen Saunders WR Jets - Rookie
This one leaves a bad taste in my mouth, telling anyone to roster a JET
will do that to you. Jalen is a smooth and fast route runner. He knows
how to get open. Jets need a WR, his only knock his is height and
weight. Kerley is currently considered the slot WR for the Jets, so
unless Kerley moves to the outside Jalen will not see a lot of time.
Jalen despite his height has the speed to play on the outside, although
it can not be done exclusively as most CBs are bigger than he is and
will toss him around like a rag doll. Currently going undrafted in 4
    Round Rookie drafts.

Honorable Mention - Cody Hoffman - WR Redskins

    Team 1
    QB: Brady, Kaepernick
    RB: McCoy, Stacy, R. Jennings,

RB: Spiller, Ball, Pierce, Polk, Todman, Williams, Blue
WR: Marshall, Gordon, Jeffery, Jennings, Austin, Hartline, A. Sanders, K. Benjamin, Herron, Moncrief, Abbrederis
TE: M. Bennett, Cook, L. Green

These are all intriguing names, but super deep dynasty stashes. It wouldn't surprise me if any of these players broke out at some point in time, but imo they could all be busts. If you're doing a youtube video with your name attached, I would make sure and preface that these are names out there for the deep leagues or players to keep an eye on. They may seem like they're taking up space on your roster now, but if they land a starting role, it will already be too late to add them.

I really like the Jared Abbrederis call. In one of my leagues I ended up with (4) mid round 4ths through trading and have every intention of rostering both Jared Abbrederis and Jeff Janis this year if I can grab them there. I have more than enough roster space to stash those two and see if either pans out.

(20140329) - Riley Cooper posts a 1,200/10 season and breaks into the top 10!

Oh yes, definitely super deep dynasty stashes, and your right, they could all easily be busts.  If I do a youtube video, I will definitely may sure that I make it clear these are only guys to roster in very deep leagues  as most will go undrafted in Rookie 4 round drafts.

I absolultely loved this kids tape, I would be very surprised if both weren't there for you in the 4th round.

Thanks for the input guy I appreciate it.  Everyone else let me know if you hate/love my dynasty stashes or any input you have.

Nice write up. Id love to hear @Smittys take on this topic. Id love to see this topic become a part this site. Sure there is the upside board and dynasty gems, but to go even deeper would be nice.

Out of all those guys I like Abbrederis the most, he's going to get a chance to replace Jordy next year if he can show anything this year, their skill sets are very similar and unless Jordy takes a hometown discount it's going to be hard to re sign him.

Daddy, I greatly appreciate the deep deep stash list. You've been doing your homework and volunteering this information may ultimately be unwise lol but I think it's great you took the time to share. Big props from me.

I actually enjoy it, not in too many leagues that have DC Members in it so the info should only help you guys out.
