Forte for Dez

Auction league with keepers. $175 cap.

I give:
Forte $40
Boldin $4.50

I get:
Dez $17
Romo $17
2nd round pick (2.4)

Yay or nay? I'm not particularly wild about this deal, I would be more if I could get other owner to make that 2nd round pick either DMac (doesn't look possible) or a 1st round pick (1.4, I would take Patterson at that spot since I already have 1.1 and 1.3 which would be used on RBs).

I'm not feeling the deal but perhaps getting a top 3 WR for only $17 which means I can keep him for another 3 or 4 years and Romo makes this something to consider. Since this is keeper most QBs are gone, I'd have to spend $45+ on either Rodgers, Bree's or Brady.

Maybe I'm not understanding all the nuances of the league, but it seems like a no-brainer, value-wise, to get Dez.

Much rather have Dez...The other guy is crazy for giving at $17 for Forte at $40.

Hmmmm...but but Forte supposed to get like 100 catches!?! This is PPR after all. The only reason I'd do this is because it didn't cost me hardly anything to acquire Forte so I'm playing with the house's money (forte and 3rd round rookie pick for 2015 1st round pick and Robert Turbin). Thing with auction keeper leagues is it's all about "what's the best team I can assemble that I can keep together the longest", not so much "what's the best team I can put together". I'm coming around to thus trade now.

Is this deal actually on the table? If I could get Dez for Forte alone, I would make the deal. The fact that you get Dez cheaply *and* get Romo and a 2.4 makes this an auto-accept for me. I actually have no idea what you are waiting for here.

Dez for me. I love Forte in PPR this year, but much rather have Dez. Esp. when you look at it as you can have Dez for 10Years. Forte is 27 already, How many elite years will you get from him

Accept before this one gets revoked!!! This is a tremendous deal. You get best player in the deal and you save cap. I'd do it

I get too scared. Thing is you have to factor the cost to acquire players. In a keeper league with salaries good top players are always not kept. I can get Calvin Johnson for probably $50-$52 as a free agent. Cruz is $33 and his owner already has DT and AJG, with our draft 2 weeks away and with Cruz on the trading block it probably won't take much to acquire him. Certainly not a top 10 RB. So it's not a simple matter of Dez costs less and is a top player therefore I should do the deal. It's more a question of "is Dez worth giving up a top 10 RB for when other good WRs could be acquired for less?"

So that's my quandary. But yes the deal is on the table, Dez owner offered me Dez, Romo and 2nd round rookie pick (2.4) for Forte and Boldin.

Dez owner is crazy...No way I trade Dez for that...Do it before he wakes up sober....
