DraftCalc.com is excited to announce the unveiling of our new and improved website.
Smitty, who has been in the fantasy football industry since 2005, launched DraftCalc just eight short months ago, back in April of 2012. Smitty’s vision has always been built around both innovation and user experience;
The following website enhancements, which are now fully implemented, include:
New Logo
We wanted our new logo to be clean, simple, yet very sleek;
Be sure to comment below regarding the new-look logo.
New Color Scheme
With a new logo came the option to change our website’s color scheme;
We decided to change the site’s core color scheme to green, white and black.
Again, with “clean” and “sleek” in mind, and with ease of navigation as truly the main goal in the website’s redesign, this color scheme absolutely made the most sense. As with the logo, be sure to leave a comment below with your thoughts on the changed color scheme.
Improved Navigation
While color schemes and new logos are nifty, we realize that the website enhancements you’re really waiting for are ones that will help you win your fantasy football leagues. Don’t worry, we focus on that kind of innovation more than anything else, which is why we decided to redesign how you locate and filter through our written content. On our homepage, we now have category links to each of our article types, this way you can sort our content by the following subjects:
All | Articles | Sleepers | Breakouts | Busts | Rise/Decline | Mocks | Upside Board | Start/Bench | University
Test it out!
Enhanced Forum Design
Our fantasy football forums received the following upgrades:
- Category Identifiers: Essentially, we have now highlighted each discussion’s category on our main forum page, this way it’s easy to quickly pinpoint what topic is for what category of fantasy football.
- Alert Messages (a the top of the page): These are website announcements, things you need to know, new features, and more.
- Color Identifiers For Self-Created Posts: What this means is that the discussions that you create are highlighted in a different color than the rest of the forum discussions; this makes it easier than ever to quickly locate the discussions that you have created. Of course, you can also subscribe to any discussion you want as well.
- Improved Color Scheme: Not only is the new-look forum easier on the eyes, locating specific things just got a whole lot easier.
Enjoy the new enhancements to DraftCalc – Stay tuned for more 2013 improvements.
