We are very excited to announce that we have launched new and improved Player Trade Calculators! These smooth-running Calcs are made available for both redraft and dynasty owners, and they are based off of an Auction Value equation, meaning these Calcs can handle uneven trades. Yep, that’s right, plug in 2-for-1 trades and get accurate trade advice! Not sure if you should trade Arian Foster for David Wilson and Larry Fitzgerald? Now you can run these kinds of trades through our insanely-cool Trade Calcs!
Drop us a note, let us know how you like them!
Hey, Smitty! This thing is the NUTS!
Calc-ed in the values of Lynch/MWilliams v. 1.01 & 2.06, and rolled the dice on the break-even trade, then calc-ed in Murray/Baldwin v. 2.02 & took the best of it.
Next, I calc-ed in my 1.02 target v. 1.04, 1.05, 2.06 & Alshon Jeffery, and threw in the 3.10 and pretty much KILLED it! Now I have the 1.04,1.05, my 1.10, the 2.04, the 2.06 and my 2.10. Who woulda thought it would take at least Russell Wilson and Harvin or Britt to get the 1.04&1.05 from me lol!
As I write this, the 1.03 owner sends me this offer:
Aaron Rodgers Kenny Britt & the 3.03, for (get this!),
1.04,1.05,1.10,2.04 & Josh Freeman, so I calc in:
Rodgers & Britt v. Hopkins & Lacy (the calc’s 1.05 player)= +18, and
Tavon Austin & Lattimore v. Matt Scott (calc’s appx#33)= -43,
so I’m taking 25/200 auction dollars, or 12.5% of my “budget” the worst of it!!!
AND THAT’S NOT INCLUDING THE LOSS OF FREEMAN!
As it turns out, the guy went ahead and picked Bell after about 10 minutes, so I’m up at 1.04 and 1.05. THIS DraftCalc Calc is cool as ice-water AND HOW!
You won’t believe this–a guy just offered up Ivory for one of my next two picks!
This is the same owner I traded Lynch to in the first place, and he wouldn’t come off Ivory. Tell me THIS isn’t a dream lol! Lemme go “Calc it in”:
OK, the calc says Ivory and Lacy (calc#1.05) are equal in value. I suspect he’s after Austin, but regardless, I’m definitely taking Hopkins with my 1.04. Do I take Ivory and pass on whoever gets picked before my 1.10 comes up?
Lemme go check the “Master List” (that’s Smitty, btw).
This thing is AWESOME!
Thanks, buddy. I dig the tool as well, and it really is hard to confuse it. It’s built off the same budget you’d use to draft in an auction, so it’s true to how much we’d buy each player for, for 2-for-1 deals work. To keep it as clean as possible, we have limited it to 2 for 2 max, but as you can tell, if need be, you can add together multiple entries to see how an extra guy affects the deal, but it already sounds like you have this tool figured out!
I’m very glad we brought the Calcs back for all of you, and this off-season.
