Looking for Non-PPR Rankings?

Our year-round rankings here at DraftCalc are “point-per-reception” based, also known as “PPR”. And, those rankings are never shut down. That’s right, they are 365-24-7 “looking forward” rankings, and “looking forward” means as if drafting the very day you are looking at them (whether you’re looking at them in Week 4, Week 10, or during the off-season).

We occasionally get requests for a set of Non-PPR Rankings, which you can find below. Keep in mind that these rankings won’t be updated daily, this is a “published” article with NO future ‘edits’. Again, our year-round PPR Rankings are here (which are year-round). Also, if any of you Non-PPR fantasy owners out there want more Non-PPR content, our 2013 Player Projections are sortable by both PPR and Non-PPR (and by position, which essentially makes those “Non-PPR” rankings as well)!

  1. Smitty, just wanted your opinion after getting Richardson 1st round and keeping Dez in 4th, if for whatever reason green and julio are gone to me in 2nd round would u rather go a wr d thomas , b marshall ( how bad is his hip), or larry fitz or go with chris johnson , david wilson , mjd ( i can tell from you rankings you dont like him) i really wanted the wr green or julio . My plan is in round 3 to get miller, or wilson and if there gone …. bernard or lacy. Do you think with Harris injury Lacy’s stock really goes up or take bernard still over him. Is round 3 in a 1 player keeper league 2 early on lacy or bernard, won’t touch mcfadeen with 10 foot pole but he prob is there. Long story short which start do you like better and why?? Just going worst case scenario

    1 Richardson 2. D Thomas 3. bernard or lacy 4. dez

    or

    1. Richardson 2. Chris Johnson 3. Amendola/BoweWhite 4. Dez

    • Round One
      I go Trent Richardson, then…

      Round Two
      a) Green or Julio, if not
      b) Demaryius Thomas, if not
      c) Andre Johnson (if there is no worry about being able to keep anyone you’re going to take here anyway
      d) Larry Fitzgerald
Alternate Plan: If you can start 3RBs, I might even go David Wilson here and start off with TRich, Wilson, still take Lamar below and start Dez (and a Hilton type). I would rather see you go Green or Julio no matter what, but this alternative plan might be a tie for me with both B and C above.

      Round Three
      Lamar Miller
      David Wilson

      Round Four
      Dez Bryant write-in

… Montee Ball might be calling your name in the 5th!

  5. Hey Smitty,

Just finished drafting in my most competitive league. A 12 team, non-PPR, redraft league where all TD’s are 6 pts and we start — 1 QB, 2 RB’s, 3 WR’s, 1 TE, K, Def

I had the 10th pick, and planned on going WR/WR, unless Richardson fell to me. Well, he did fall to me, so I did the BPA approach after that. I think my WR’s are weak, but I think I have depth at RB to overcome that via trade.

    Thoughts?

Squad: (round taken, overall pick #)

    QB:Brady (4.39)

    RB’s: Richardson (1.10), L.Miller (3.34), M.Ball (5.58), Bernard (6.63), Moreno (11.130)

    WR’s: Julio (2.15), Britt (7.82), Sanders (9.106), Hopkins (10.111) Patterson (12.135), Percy Harvin (13.154)

    TE: Cook (8.87)

    Thanks!

    • I like it, buddy. I don’t think that those WRs are all that week, as you have a great rushing rotation and top 1-4QB. Very solid. Brady is super valuable in a 6points per TD format. The only move I’d make is maybe trade Ball or Miller (once they both gain insane value – wait until then!) and upgrade your WR and push Britt or Sanders on down to your WR3 spot, which would be a great place for those guys. Once Ball and Miller gain tons of value, you could trade into a AJ Green using let’s say Sanders/Miller… but right now, the AJ Green owner would laugh at that offer. A few weeks can change that.

All that said, it doesn’t hurt to have Ball on the bench, or Miller should Ball explode early. Having 3RBs in 2RB league is never a bad thing, but you could improve line-up scoring this way.

I can’t stress enough that you need to wait, though! Don’t trade either Ball or Miller until they have max value (and my idea of max value for both is a lot higher than most).

  6. Do you trade brees for newton in a 6pt per pass td league? I know all about your love for the cam

    • In a 6point per TD format? No way. Brees gets a bump in such a format. I shouldn’t say ‘no way’, as Cam could be near as good, but Brees is a passing TD specialist, whereas Newt is still elite in the category, easily capable of 30+ through the air, but Brees has 40+ TD potential through the air during any given season. Scoring changes a lot with those QBs.

  7. Hey Smitty, you already have rated my team before but since then I have done major trades and I want you to rate my team again and suggest who to add from the waiver wire since i have one empty roster spot. My league is a ten team redraft ppr league, 15 players for each team, starting 1 QB, 2 Wr, 2 RB, 1RB/WR Flex, 1TE, 1 D/ST, and 1 K.

    QB: Drew Brees
RB: Adrian Peterson, Trent Richardson, Lamar Miller, Montee Ball, Christine Michael, Bryce Brown
WR: Dwayne Bowe, Antonio Brown, T.Y. Hilton, Chris Givens
    TE: Jimmy Graham
    D/ST: Denver
    K: Blair Walsh

People on the waiver wire include: Michael Vick, Rashard Mendenhall, Kendall Wright, Ronnie Hillman, Justin Blackmon, Bila Powell, Michael Bush, Shonn Greene, Jacquiz Rodgers, Daniel Thomas, Cordarelle Patterson, Kenny Stills, Brandon Lafell, Fred Jackson, Joquie Bell, Johnathan Franklin, Vick Ballard, Knowshon Moreno, etc.

I’d rather pick a wr right now, so please tell me who is the best and also if any current rbs are better choices to have on my bench then my current bench rbs. Thanks alot Smitty!

    • Hey buddyI love your QB and rushers, obviously. And you dominate the TE spot, obviously. Your thin at WR, but what would one expect when you have arguably the No. 1 and No. 2 fantasy rushers in 2013, with the easily a top 1-5QB. So arguably, you could finish with the No. 1 at QB, RB, TE and still have another near No.1 with your 2nd RB spot. Then mix in my high expectations for Miller, something you won’t hear from your league mates when you talk Miller up. He will be treated like a RB2, and while anything can happen (he could play like that this year), I think he is a true RB1 and you’re going to dominate the QB, RB and TE position like no one in your league. No one.

My advice, don’t touch, or even consider moving: Peterson, Richards, Miller, Graham!

Then, once Ball gains great value, something I believe is near, trade him and any one of your WRs not named Givens/Hilton and try to land a Julio type. You could always attempt that offer now, but doubt you land it, unless the owner has McCoy and you can somehow use the fact that you have Bryce Brown to your advantage.

I don’t make a single waiver move, you have the right players. Truly an awesome squad! Given how sneaky-deceptive Hilton and Givens are (players I quietly like better than your first two), I think this team is easily a 9 out of 10 and I would never want to face it if I was in your league.

      • Thanks Smitty! The reason I asked who to pick up from the waiver wire is because i currently have one empty roster spot. Can you look at the list of players on the waiver wire and suggest who to pick up (preferably a wr)? Thanks again!

        • Also my friend was wondering whether or not to trade arian foster and ben tate for wes welker, shane vereen and either steven jackson or darren sproles in a ten team ppr redraft league. I know your recent opinion on arian foster is declining, just wondering if value is still there or not… my friends current rbs are foster, chris johnson, ivory, daryl richardson, and tate. his current wr’s are julio, vjax, jennings, tavon austin, and kenny britt.

If the trade is good, can you also tell me whether he should ask for steven jackson or darren sproles… it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
