I was thinking the same thing. He's brutal. I think even the O line is like 'wtf'. The whole offense looks way better when he's on the field. If Tannenhill can stop giving the ball away Miami's offense can be good.

Tannehill is missing his progression to dump it to Miller when he is in, his inability to hit his check down is amazing to me.  Couple that with Philbin and Sherman not seeming to game plan during the actual game as situations change (Miller and Thomas rotated series despite production).

    Frustrating offense to watch.

Yup.  No identity.  Would love to see more read-option...Tannehill can run!  Would open things up for Lamar, and then eventually for Wallace

yet another 2012 spiller in the league...... I think miami trying to lose a few games.
if only given the opportunity, at least tonight, he had the look of a top 10 RB.. Smitty seems to have hit this guy big time.

Well, hopefully tonight helped paint a better picture for that MIA coaching staff, but keep in mind guys, all it's gonna take is a 70 yard TD run here soon and we won't have a Spiller vs. FJax scenario. Thomas isn't FJax, so the big plays will hopefully hold that coaching staff's hand into starting their best runner. The issue with FJax/Spiller is that FJax is very versatile and good.

I truely believe that Daniel Thomas should not be in the league. Did anyone else hear the play call "..and here comes the short yardage specialist, Daniel Thomas" .. I burst out with a laugh on that one.

I guess getting the ball anywhere near the GL makes you especially skilled.. guy literally runs INTO blocks.

Yeah what I specialist. He comes in on the GL and loses yards on the carry. Then Tannehill hits up Clay for the TD.
    2013 predictions

    -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

(Rotoworld)Daniel Thomas rushed for just one yard on four carries in Monday night's Week 4 loss to the Saints.

Analysis: Thomas was badly outplayed by Lamar Miller for the second week in a row. Thomas was given a carry on third-and-inches on the Dolphins' opening drive -- one in which Miller was gashing the New Orleans defense -- and ended up losing two yards on the play, forcing the Dolphins to settle for a field goal. Thomas also couldn't cash in on a goal-line look later in the contest. Miller scored from five yards away earlier in the game. Miller is head-and-shoulders above Thomas in all aspects of the position, and he should take over clear lead-back duties sooner rather than later. Thomas is on pace to rush for 264 yards and eight touchdowns on 100 carries (2.64 YPC). He's safe to drop.

Hopefully Philbin is not too stubborn here and realizes that Miller as far superior to Thomas. The rest of the world sees it.

I was really pissed when Thomas came in too. They could have ran the same exact play that Miller scored with.
12 Team, 6pt TD, Non PPR, QB, 2WR, 2RB, TE
    QB: Stafford, Alex Smith
WR: Julio Jones, Victor Cruz, Josh Gordon, TY Hilton
RB: Trent Richardson, Lamar Miller, David Wilson, Knowshon Moreno, I. Pead
    TE: Cook

Trades so far: My Gore/Lacy/J.Thomas for L.Miller and Cruz.

Not only is Thomas a liability for Miller owners because he steals series from Miller, but did you see the play Thigpen made?  Why have Thomas in as your 2-minute/third-down back when Thigpen can take one to the house too?  Play Miller most downs, sprinkle in Thigpen, and give Thomas a nice severance package so he and Ingram can get a cool condo together and coach pee-wee.

I watched this whole game (something I rarely do these days, what with RedZone being AWESOME), and while Miller was head and shoulders better, I'm also not thrilled with the way he's running.  He's not gashing like he did in college.  Seems like he has a confidence issue.  He's questioning himself.  And when there's nothing there, he's clearly hesitating.  There's a difference between patience (A.Foster) and indecision (what I saw last night with Miller).  I think he needs to trust his instincts, trust that he is one of - if not the - best athletes on the field, and run that ball with confidence and authority.  I did like what I saw from him as far as not going down on first contact.  He's got some power on that little frame.  The more touches he gets, the better he'll get, and I still think he can end up being a top 10 RB this year.  It's amazing how much he and D.Wilson are alike.

Probably because he's always looking over his shoulder.  The less of a threat Thomas is, the better Miller will do I imagine.

I'm doubting that.  Neither came in for each other last night.  They alternated series so all Miller needed to do is play well when it was his turn.

1st FG drive, I am pretty sure Miller was in the game, then on 3rd and inches they brought in the Short Yardage Specialist to lose yardage.
