Me too.  Richardson looked good.  Once the Colts get it together, he will be a major part of that offense.  Right now they look confused.

I think the team as a whole looked bad last night.  They looked like a deer in the headlights....way too many dropped passes, DHB, Fleener, Wayne, Hilton all had some big drops that could have extended drives or led to scoring plays.

I'm holding him in dynasty, no reason to move him now

Some people just want you to think it's TRich's fault or in the case of Spiller, it's Spiller's fault, lol.  No blame can be put on the coaching staff for their decisions not to get these two involved or used properly on game day.  Just blame the player and move on is easier i guess.   :-??

    Add Miller to this group?
    QB: Brady, Kaepernick
RB: McCoy, Miller, D. Richardson, Pead, Lattimore, McGahee
WR: Cruz, S. Johnson, Blackmon, Gordon, Jeffery, K. Allen
    TE: J. Thomas, Cameron
    K: Novak

LOL...not the thread but you can add a bunch to the group if we are talking underperformers.....if we are talking head scratching coaching...yes add Miller.

I don't really blame the coaching staff in Buff, they have been hammered with QB injuries and Spiller was banged up...so I get them using FJax more

Sorry man, but I do!  Spiller is the most dynamic player in Buffalo with the ball "in his hands".  That said, the Buffalo coaching staff doesn't give Spiller the opportunity to use the abilities he possesses.  After six weeks of action, Spiller has seen only 14 targets in the passing game.  That's 2.3 targets per game. Pathetic if you ask me!  This kid can take any touch he gets to the house, rushing or receiving.  As of right now, Spiller only averages 16.3 touches per game.  I blame the coaching staff for that.

^^ I hear you Doggie, but he got hurt in the Baltimore game, short turn around for the CLE game and I don't think he was all that healthy.  What I meant by don't blame the coaches, is I don't blame them for putting in FJax since he was hurt.

I don't get the TR situation or Lamar Miller situation where they aren't getting more touches.

FJax is like that gnat buzzing around your ear that you just can't get rid of. Buffalo coaches put him in the offense, he has a few good plays and then the game plan changes causing fewer touches for Spiller going forward.  That Baltimore game was week 4 and the short week game was week 5.  I understand you thoughts about Spiller being hurt and "coaches decision" to lower his touches.  How do you explain why Spiller was only on the field for 19 snaps this past weekend?

I recently bought Spiller as you know Doggie so you know where I stand with him.  Having said that, two different coaching staffs, and same pattern.  What are we missing?   Spiller is not only the most dynamic player with the ball in his hands in Buffalo, but the argument can be made he is amongst the best in the league.

I agree with both of you guys on his dynamic play making ability.

@Doggie...yes he is a gnat I agree....just won't go away.  No idea whey he was only on the field for 19 snaps.  I wonder if it had something to do with Lewis being at QB and maybe FJax being better in pass pro? I have no idea, just guessing.  You would think screen passes would be a solid way to get some pressure off Lewis.  Or maybe the ankle is worse then they led on....don't know.

@gary...good observation, I wonder if this staff thinks that Spiller can't handle a full load (same as Gailey's staff) and therefore play FJax more and work him in....or could still be the ankle thing above.

We also have to remember as much as we fantasy owners don't like Jackson, he is a great locker room guy and a hard worker.  Pretty easy to endear himself onto the coaching staff and earn playing time.  He also isn't totally terrible.  I know we just want Spiller to touch it 25 times and get us our points!!!!! LOL

I like Spiller and would be buying him everywhere.

Spiller isn't a 25 carry workhouse type back and I don't want him to be one.  He needs 15-17 carries and 5-8 catches a week...they need to use him like Chicago is using Forte.  Why don't they  have Fjax and Spiller on the field together more?

This.  Spiller is what he is.  He certainly can be productive, but he's just not a carry-the-mail RB1. He has deficiencies.  Gailey was good at overcoming these to a degree.  I'm not sure the current regime in Buffalo is as talented.

The white flag has been waived by me when it comes to TRich. I still hold out "hope" for him, but that's about it. Too much risk for me to buy him, too much value lost for me to sell him. I'll hold him in the one league I own him in, and stay away in all the rest. Good luck TRich, I'm pulling for you but I'm not holding my breathe.
    2013 predictions

-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

That would be smart...kind of like NO uses Sproles....or like SD is using Woodhead now

I don't think it is about overcoming deficiencies in Spiller's game as much as it is no coaching staff being able to exploit his strengths to date.  How do you only target Spiller 2 times a game and call him a bust???  The Chargers very quickly realized what they had in Woodhead and you see Rivers leaning on him.  Same thing with Bellichick in NE with Vereen week one and Gio in Cinci.  All very good players, but nowhere near the talent of Spiller

I think we should send the Buffalo staff game tapes of those teams you mention with the hashtag #howtousespiller

Where's the outrage over the new TRich thread?!

All vey good points here, its just unfortunate that most teams that own this guy are sitting on the losing end of the standings and risk lose being out of playoff contention waiting for him this year. There's just no way this guy is equivalent to BJGE. All those TD's last year on a putrid offense and glimpses of good play sprinkled in this year say otherwise. The guy does NOT have AP-take it to the house-speed.. That's obvious, he's a different back, and I think a lot people judge him solely based on that. I'd be thinking more Marion Barber on steroids with better hands.

Im 5-1 in a non-ppr & drafted TRich #4 in a redraft league. Im not even thinking of trading him @ this point.

I have already got over the fact that I drafted TRich in first round over a guy like Charles(yes, Charles!) because there was so much hype about this guy in preseason. Just shows that it's better to go for known studs in earlier rounds of the draft and then mix it up with some upside players...especially in redraft
