I kinda almost regret trading him away for Calvin...

How about when you traded Gordon for Amendola in DC1, lol?

Please don't remind me. The point is I was wise enough to draft him originally. lol

..... and I thank you for that!   :D

Oh boy here we go again with Gordon that I wouldn't touch him because he could miss a whole season if he fails another test!

    it is a valid argument..

If you play FF scared, lol.

dont think i am running scared.. i said it is a very valid argument for those owners that like less gamble. i can understand why those owners rather have a AJG/JJ/calvin/dez in the mid 1st over a similar wr without that baggage..

Well, you just put Gordon right where I have him ranked right now.  After the four you just listed above.  So, I am not endorsing Gordon before any of those guys either. Nor am I endorsing Gordon as a 1st round pick.   ;)

agreed doggie but i fear that is where he probably will be drafted..

Yeah I don't think it's a matter of IF Gordon will be a 1st round startup pick. It's a matter of how high in the 1st he'll be going.
    2013 predictions

Had horrible year in my big money league but traded Dez for Gordon and Spiller around midseason. At least get to look forward to next year's draft now with Gordon as my 1 keeper in 12th round
    2013 Predictions:
    Russell Wilson - #1 QB
Kenny Britt - Top 5-10 WR

Directly from the NFL Drug Program policy - http://images.nflplayers.com/mediaResources/files/PDFs/PlayerDevelopment/2010%20Drug%20Policy.pdf

Duration: A player will remain in Stage Two for twenty-four
months or two full seasons, whichever is shorter, beginning from
the later of either the date of entry into Stage Two

Notwithstanding the foregoing, without any notice a player will be
automatically and immediately advanced to Stage Three if while in
Stage Two he has any of the following:
    (1) two Positive Tests

Completion of Stage Two: A player who completes Stage Two
without being advanced to Stage Three will be afforded the same
status as a player who had never by Behavior or a Positive Test
been referred to the Intervention Stages

TL;DR - Gordon needs to make it until the 2015 off season (about a year and half) in order to be taken off of the NFL Drug Program.  His next positive test will put him at stage 3 of the NFL Drug Program.  Whether or not the suspension lasts a calender year I'm unsure of, as he would still be in stage two if he fails a test, and would seem to be subject to stage 2 discipline (4 month suspension).

    Predictions

[ ] Percy Harvin will be a top 5 PPR wide receiver, outscoring Cobb
[ ] Danny Amendola will be a top 15 PPR wide receiver
[ ] Russel Wilson will be a top 4 QB
[ ] Denario Alexander will be a top 15 PPR WR

The risk is there with Gordon. Without personally knowing him, I am less worried about him than I would be with Blackmon. From the info we've been given it appears to me Gordon has just been immature and likes to have a "good time". With Blackmon, I think he suffers from some severe addiction issues. To me that's a big difference. Gordon has a documented past obviously, but Blackmon has a paper trail a mile long of his alcohol specific related issues dating back well into his college years. I understand the grip of addiction, as I went through these issues myself with pain medication my doctors prescribed to me for my back issues. To me there's a big difference from making bad decisions as a young adult, and physically/mentally feeling like you need a substance to be functional. Of course we don't know either of these young men, but that's just my take on it.

I agree with this.  I think where one stands on his character issues is where one stands on his value.

His talent is completely, undeniably, top tier elite.
