Usually a no brainer, but with Gio still sharing carries and Todman about to get em all against Buf, thoughts?

their offensive weapon not getting carries?

Gio gets em, sure, and he could be an elite RB1 if starting, but it's not unrealistic to think for 1-2 weeks Todman can be 100 total yards and a score on the ground. Benching Gio just feels wrong, though.

I'm going Todman, not only is he the starter with a great matchup but also he's a more talented runner, than Gio so you get a two'fr!

Now I shall brace myself for the backlash for such a statement that - haha!

I won't bash you for this. I've been pretty high on Todman, and have stashed him in multiple leagues hoping for MJD to leave in 2014. Now there are talks about MJD staying which I don't like, but we're talking about 1 game here. I could see Todman outscoring Gio, but I wouldn't have the balls to start Todman over Gio personally.
      2013 predictions

      -Cobb outscores Harvin in PPR
-Chris Ivory will be a top 15RB
-Kenny Britt finishes outside the top 20WRs

I think the only insane thing is when anyone bashes anyone's ranking or stance. Guys come out of nowhere all the time, even more out of nowhere than Todman if he in fact explodes (let's say). MJD was so lowly-ranked heading into his rookie season, Arian Foster came out of nowhere, it happens every year. I don't get when some argue on here about how someone has to be higher in someone's eyes, or whatever (not that anyone is doing that here in this thread, though). You go, @bmxholden1

I'm not even sure MJD misses. He said he would play and he is a huge fantasy football player himself. He knows what it means to play in the fantasy playoffs. Better keep on eye out to see if he's active pre-game.
      12 team redraft non-ppr.
      QB-Rodgers, McCown, Cutler, Tannehill
      RB-Lacy, Vereen, Starks, Gerhart
      WR-Calvin, Jordy, Gordon, Cooper
      TE-Graham
      K-Vinatieri
      D/ST-KC

MJD is now listed as Doubtful, not a good sign. I think he sits this one out.

Yeah I saw that he was listed as doubtful. Just saying, make sure you check his status. I find it hard to believe he would sit out unless coaches made him

The smart start is Gio, but it sure is tough benching Todman if he is getting all the carries and faces BUF, a game that should be close enough for that JAC rushing game not to get phased out.

      +1

This one is one of those situations you just have to roll with your gut feeling and live with the consequences - the thing I always get back to is the fact that Todman is every bit as capable as most NFL backs so why wouldn't he run for the yards available to him? I would be comfortable starting Benny Cunningham, Mike James, Stepfan Taylor and a host of other rookie unproven backs in this matchup, why not Todman? Fact is, Todman may suddenly be worth a whole lot more after this Sunday if he runs wild.

I appreciate the comments above - I really enjoy these debates and freedom to be bold, I learn a lot here, both from trying to justify and articulate my opinion and then getting feedback whether opposing or agreeing.

Yeah. Say no to group think and berating others for being bold. Things change fast.

Smitty I like Gio but I have Todman only a point behind him. I see Dalton struggling a bit so the ground crew needs to pick up the slack.
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Russell Wilson, EJ Manuel, Josh Mckown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Andre Johnson, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE J Reed, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
      DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
      K Steven Hauschka

(I'm not a expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!)

Start Gio, don't get cute in the playoffs unless desperate in which case you would not be in the playoffs.

I know that this is sound advice but it's so hard to follow isn't it?

I would go Todman. I've been tempted to plug 'n play him, but I don't have the guts to bench Lynch, Vereen or Lacy. I'm gonna be bold & say he finishes with a Top 10 PPR week. 15-20 touches, 100+ yds, 1 TD, 3 rec., 36 yds. He's experienced (3rd yr), young (23), healthy, hungry with great hands & above average speed. Go watch some UConn game film if you haven't seen him (i know most of you have). The same attributes could be said about Gio, but I feel like Todman's matchup is better (especially now since Kiko is doubtful). Plus, it's the kid's first start (& he hasn't endured the grueling rookie yr season like Gio). How excited is he gonna be to play?!? I'm excited for the kid... Good luck

...I was close :). Wish I had played him over Vereen, but would've never made that call. Ugh. Hope somebody was able to use him...

I went Gio last second and didn't trust my gut. But, that isn't to say Gio can't still play as well as Todman did today. Todman looked good. I hope JAC gives him a shot. Knowing JAC, they won't.
