Cam- Ankle surgery out 4 months

    Cam is having ankle surgery & out 4 months. Left ankle.

    Does this drop his value any?

    From a value stand point, no. The surgery is simply for tightening ligaments. I know about this type of surgery and you come back from it stronger than before.
    Where it will hurt him is the limiting of him being able to work with his young wide receivers as well as any FA that comes in.

    Cam will miss all of OTAs and report to camp with a completely new WR corps, as it stands his top 2 WRs have caught ZERO balls in the NFL. I'm not shrugging this off from a Redraft point of view. See RGIII last season. I dunno man there is just no buzz in Carolina. They need to find Cam some weapons and hope it's only four months and he recovers 100%

    He barely had any WR's to throw to last year.  I hear what you're saying though but my comment was only about the surgery and not his chemistry with the rookie WR's he will be passing too.

    Im not super down on Cam, but this plus other issues has me concerned. I won't rule out the idea that CAR does have a better group of WRs than last year (when all is said and done) and I won't rule out that, even with a bit of inconstancy (chemistry wise), Cam could throw better than 2013. With a decent WR group, let's say a James Jones type and Cooks, he does better than last year.

    The injury does worry me in terms of something reoccurring during the season, though.

    Beyond the injury do the rookie WRs drive him up a tree like Dobson/Thompkins did early last season in NE?  Does Cam have the patience Brady had to work with and develop them? Or will he go into diva mode about it? Not saying he will just putting devils advocate spin on it.

    add this to the lack of WR's on Carolina and Cam is hands off for me in 2014, but I guess he could also be a buy low at this point as well.

    @lukeb5301 Britt? I'm wondering if something is up with Britt (i know most would expect that he is hurt) given he hasn't been getting offers when he leaves a team.

    RGIII also came back to a far more talented WR corps that he threw to the entire season before...not so for Cam

    Don't forget that the Patriots' offense is a great deal more complex, making it much tougher to learn, especially for rookies (and Ochocinko!).

    that could be .. i believe he passed a physical with the Rams so the knee sound like they are fine aleast for the Rams anyways..

    Trying to use this info on Cam owner to flip Russell Wilson for a pick. Scare tactics 101 you never know if they'll bit at it.
    My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
    QB Nick Foles, Russell Wilson, Josh McCown
    RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
    WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
