FaceOff: AJ Green or Julio Jones?

I see these two on a seesaw and both go up & down each season. This year AJG falls a little and Julio will go up a little. Season after next could go the other way but that's why I say =.
My league is a non PPR 12 person league having a roster of 19 players each. Active roster includes 1Qb 2Rb's 3Wr's 1Te 1K 1Def. Two weeks before draft we cut the roster down to 9 keepers. My team as of now:
QB Nick Foles, Russell Wilson, Josh McCown
RB Lamar Miller, Shane Vereen, Zac Stacy, Cierre Wood
WR AJ Green, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon, Rueben Randle, Kenny Stills
TE Z Ertz, M. Bennett, Delanie Walker
    DEF Kansas City, Cleveland
    K Steven Hauschka

Man ... I'm really starting to waiver on Julio ... love the kids talent ... but I'm starting to wonder if he holds up - foot or no foot ... he's missed A LOT of time in his short time in the league.  White on the decline, no Gonz ... should be interesting to see what he does while he's the defensive game plan.  I have him a tier below AJG at this point.

Julio is the more dynamic talent but the foot is a major issue for me so I'll go AJG despite his QB

That foot is a major concern.
    Green all day.

I'm really suprised that it's THAT wide of a margin for y'all. I can understand it though.

After looking at their career numbers its not surprising to me at all.

Let me ask you this JR:

If Julio goes through this year totally healthy and outplays ajg then what? Do you still keep him below ajg in your rankings? Just curious.
    Bold Predictions:
Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
(Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

I truly feel Julio will make those who abandon him kick them themselves for doing so this year.

lets 1st see if he can play a full year healthy and then we can have that debate.with my 1st pick the player has to be on the field..

The fact that he has metal in his foot would make me keep him below Green. Murray went out and was a stud last year and that didnt do anything for his value so why would it for Julio? And its hard for Julio to be any higher than he is right now even though his production hasnt warranted it. Sorry I keep comparing Julio and Murray but for me its a good example of the bias in owners values and injury prone label.

he's a freak. He did this with a screw loose in his foot.

He is a physical freak but his production since hes come into the league is not freakish.

Look, Julio has more injury concern to me than Murray yet Julio is in almost everyones tier 1. Julio has only one season over 1000 yards and it was under 1200 yards. Only one season of double digit TDs too and never had more than 80 catches.

Julio is amazing when he's on the field

Green is amazing all the time, with a worse qb.

I like Julio, and many say im' down on him.  it's not that i'm down on him, i just see better options.  at this point i can't understand an argument putting Julio above Green, Calvin, or DT.

That's what I always point out! Burned him and snagged on him with a metal foot. He deserves a robotic type nickname like Calvin...ESPECIALLY because of the foot lol.

But seriously, he only needs one foot.

Guilty as charged but based on comments in other threads you do appear to be down on Julio IMO.  Now, if those are the only three WR's you would take ahead of Julio, then you aren't really down on him as many would draft those three over Julio.   :o3

I look far beyond Murray injury concerns I looking at the situation. Where is Murray when Dallas cleans house? You know it's going to happen. When you keep bring up Murray this is what I think of. When we discuss about Julio I'm not concern about his situation and his foot does not bother me because of what he brings to the table. If I were to worry about injuries with every player then I might as well not play fantasy football because everyone will get one. It's fantasy it's a game and I like to play it with a full swing every season I'm not looking to play it safe and bunt my way to a win. I'm not ignorant to high risk players either and their injury history but Julio has more upside being in your line up that can't be ignored because of a broken screw.

Murray is 6'0" 220 lbs and runs a sup 4.40 forty. He catches great out of the back field and blocks great as well. Hes a true 3 down back which is rare in ths NFL. Murray will be fine "IF" he leaves Dallas which we dont know. I agree with you that you cant worry about injury cause all players get injured but not all players have metal surgically implanted in their feet.

And dont get me wrong...I love Julio and want him everywhere I can get him. I just like Green much more and I dont think its fair to discredit Murray and elevate Julio when they are so similar in when they came into the league, talent and missed games. People rank Murray lower than his talent and healthy production should put him but have no problem saying Julio is tier 1 or even the #1 overall player even-though he has the same problems as Murray. If someone is down on Murray for being injury prone then they should be equally if not more down on Julio.

I'm not going to trade Julio for 1.1 or keenan allen lol....i just dont see any argument why he should be the #1 or even #2 dynasty wr.  Even when he was at his best for 5 games last year, Gordon in 2013 and Calvin in 2011-2013 were still meeting those numbers.  Greens career performance trumps Julios, so does DT's and Dez's.  Julio has avoided the dreaded fantasy "injury tag" for no apparent reason other than owners "really like him" and he feels good to own:)

Again, he'll be in 99.99% of the top 5's anyone does, but him being 1 or 2 needs to stop lol.  I think me being "down on him" is a reality check, not me thinking he sucks.

Theres a difference between being down on someone and being realistic. Julio's production does not warrant him being above Green and definitely not the #1 WR.
