UPSIDE BOARD: 2 more additions coming (replacing 2) PLUS 1 dynasty gem update coming (replacing 1)

    Those replaced (Tate and Tre Mason) are still players I like, but not Upside Board worthy. Either is Lattimore, whom I still like, but clearly more risk is present in SF for Lattimore, so he is leaving the Gem section.

    So, 3 more players to be added, but not sure when, as I do not want to rush these new additions.

    Changes are expected after the draft... we learn, react/adapt, that's the game!

    I think you would add a RED section for a player like Tate, For me nothing I like more and respect more then a guy that's not afraid to admit his mistakes. Instead of taking Tate off say we got this one wrong, Earns respect IMO.
    My 2013 Predictions:

    [XXX] Demaryius Thomas will be the #1 scoring WR!(Feb 13th)
    [XXX] Trent Richardson will NOT finish as a Top 10 RB!(June 4th)
    [:(] Rob Housler will be a Top 5 TE in 2013!(July 18th)
    [XXX] Josh Gordon will put up a 80/1200/10 stat line in just 14 Games!(Sept 5th)

    I like this idea as well. I think it helps people keep perspective. It reminds us to not fill all of our teams with all of these guys. Just pick 2-4 that you believe and sprinkle them in
    Bold Predictions:
    Cordarelle Patterson replaces Josh Gordon in the top 5 WR group.
    (Julio, Calvin, AJG, CP, and Dez)

    Andre Williams proves himself to be the best RB in this class, by having the most productive rookie season of all the rbs.

    I like this idea and if the people bought at the low price, like you suggest, then it hurts no one. Like this person had huge upside until "blah blah blah" happened, so they were removed.

    I'll mention he is coming off, but not admitting he won't thrive. Nor is it really a bust situation at all, a rookie was drafted, but he is still close to worthy of the board.

    I'll add a legend describing him and Mason coming off and why, but nothing is wrong or bust like yet -- this is why it sometimes has me thinking of waiting to do the upside board picks, but I'd rather just adapt to the draft and free agency vs releasing all these late. Not claiming Tate isn't full of upside, Mason either. Not at all.

    So Smitty, any chance of you doing a write up on "Veteran risers/fallers" from the draft? 
    2014 predictions

    (3/16) Toby Gerhart will have 1400 total yards and 8TDs
    (3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR

    Nobody in particular. Just some controversial situations that have been created, and what it potentially does to the veteran's value.

    @lukeb5301 Thoughts on Lattimore's future? Lots of guessing, but i know you were super high on him like I was. The outlook isn't good, that's for sure.  He is definitely a red-out on the UBoard, but with a sentence of support, that his talent is good enough, but his situation has the likelihood of him working out in the mediocre at best range.

    Them drafting Hyde doesn't look well but if he ends up being who he once was it won't matter. I wasn't super high on Hyde in the 1st place but this def. puts a big hit in Lattimores value but I'll still hold for now

    For me, SF drafting a RB by itself wouldn't be too big of a concern. SF has done a great job at stocking up on draft picks, which allows them to draft talent over need with a lot of their picks. The problem for me is that they drafted Hyde, who was a top 3 back in this class for me. Combine that with the reports that Lattimore still hasn't completely recovered from his injury, and the long term situation is now murkier than ever for him. 

    I think Lattimore being ready to play sometime in the 1st half of 2014 may go a long way in determining what he ultimately becomes in SF. If he's still sitting on the sidelines and Hyde starts proving his talent on the field, it's going to be hard for him to overcome that. If nothing else, this puts a big damper on the potential upside of Lattimore. He's gone from a guy that I had hoped was the next lead back in SF, to a RB that I think will be a serious RBBC at best.

    I agree the reports on latti saying he isn't healthy then drafting Hyde seems like they don't think latti will get back to his original form, which was a longshot to begin with
