I've penciled Benjamin at about 1.07.  He's going to a great landing spot, and is the size of Calvin Johnson.  I've read Patterson comparisons, and that he's raw and doesn't run fluid routes.  His combine performance was terrible all across the board, I'm shocked he went in the first round, but apparently NFL Scouts get paid to make these players deserving of a first round selection.  I think the Patterson comparison is probably the closest, but I wouldn't want to end up with a Michael Floyd.

    I wouldn't touch Benjamin before 2.10ish.

No logic to back that up right? You're just right and we shouldn't question it as per usual correct?

Watch the tape of the young man. And watch the Carolina offense. If that's not enough, I can't help you.

How can you not think that Carolina was a top 3 landing spot for a rookie wr? Behind maybe philly and ??

Because while Cam is a great fantasy QB, I do not think he is a great NFL QB. His style doesn't benefit WRs.

Why not. Michael Floyd just dropped a 1000+ yard season in his 2nd year. Hes looking good.

I guess I just expect more out of Mathews,Cooks,Evans,Watkins,Sankey, and Freeman, both short, and long term.  Which puts him at 1.07.  I didn't realize Floyd bounced back that good last year, but you have to admit, 113 targets catching only 66 of them isn't good, which is probably the quarterbacks fault.  What I really mean is that I don't want my first round receiver to catch 45 balls and 2 TD's in his first year because I'll end up having another high first rounder next year to waste.  It's a vicious cycle lol.  His TD production needs to increase!  (Well, so does Patterson's)

Floyd doubled his rookie production. Rookies rarely put up huge seasons the 1st season. I never count on them to start.

Good advice here. I see so many owners that post about their team over the past few months. They have a top 2 pick and they are penciling them into their lineups as their WR2 or 3 like it'll be a seamless transition. More times than not, that doesn't work out.

I think Benjamin has HUGE upside, but his downside is pretty far down. He'll probably be drafted higher than I want to take him. I have some contending teams with a good deal of depth, so I ended up with 1.10-1.12 types of picks. I'd probably gamble on him at that spot if I didn't really "need" him to turn into anything for me to survive.

If there's one WR that I'm looking to trade up for, it's Jordan Matthews. I think he's going to be big time, and the allure of Chip's system makes me drool a bit. If he makes it past 1.06 in leagues where I have a late 1st, I'm going to be pushing to trade up.
    2014 predictions

(3/16) Toby Gerhart will have 1400 total yards and 8TDs
(3/16) Cobb will outscore Allen in PPR
