Smitty said:I could see him going higher than 32 or much later, that's kind of how draft day goes. He is just one of those players... I like him a lot, and not being as fast at that next level (because so many other players are now faster) doesn't mean he can't succeed. Look at Foster. I AM NOT comparing him to Foster AT ALL, know that, but Foster isn't the quickest guy... He has everything else and is in the right system. Same could be said about Priest Holmes, who wouldn't have been the same runner outside of his exact situation in KC. Now, situation is a piece of the puzzle, so really us fantasy guys don't care, we look at all of it and give it a grade and we draft and invest in that entire piece... so, to wrap what I'm saying up, I just think he needs the right spot... then we shall see what his ceiling is once we get there. That's my take with this guy.

JRMRRT said:Nice work Smitty! I watched a lot of clips on Martin this morning and he certainly looks like he plays faster than 4.57.
kethnaab said:the thing about Doug Martin that makes him somewhat unique, compared to Wilson and Miller is that Martin comes in as a 3-down back. he knows pass protection, blitz pickup, and can actually block. Teams aren't going to trust Lamar Miller or Lamichael james to pick up Suggs on a stunt.
Now, i'd still be pretty darn nervous with ANY RB picking up Suggs, but Martin will be the guy that will be trusted, early, and often on 3rd down.
and Smitty, your mention of Arian Foster is spot on. Why?
Vision. Best vision in the draft, just like Foster has the best vision in the NFL. You look a lot faster when you see "it" happening before everyone else.
