Green Bay Packers officially have released DB Charles Woodson
Woodson broke the news via his wine company's Twitter account, and it was soon confirmed by his agent. His release clears $10 million in scheduled pay off the Packers' 2013 books. "It's part of the business," Woodson's rep told NFL.com. The sides could consider re-upping on a cheaper deal, but Rapoport hints it's not being discussed at this time. Going on 37, Woodson was not playing at a high level before a broken collarbone cost him the final nine games of the regular season. He isn't believed to be considering retirement, however.
I doubt he remains unsigned, just an all round great player. He'd look great in Vikings purple or Patriots blue.

I'm hoping the pack brings him back at a cheaper price.

I love him, but not at 10 million for the pack! Too many other places of need

..... and obviously the only reason GB released him. This frees up some good money for GB now.
