what are everyone's thoughts on TJ Yeldon of Alabama? i know we're about a year away, if not more, but in my league there isn't any rule that prohibits the drafting of players still in college so i plan on drafting him with my last pick at minimum $.50 salary. plaxico burress was drafted as a last pick 5 years ago when he was sent away to jail, the team held on to him for 2 years and i guess it panned out because he ultimately signed with the Jets. brett farve was drafted in my league after the 10th and final time he retired and wound up never coming back. kind of a scummy move on my part because i have no rookie picks next year anyway so this is kind of undercutting the guys who win up with high picks.
so what are the thoughts on this guy? is this plan worth pursuing because he might be as good as Trent Richardson or is he gonna projected to be another Mark Ingram?

lol the point is not so much we allow drafting of players still in college its more no one ever thought have a rule *preventing* a team from drafting a guy you can't use, hence the term "loophole". since its an auction league i guess the sentiment is why spend even .50 on a guy who isn't going to play. also we don't have weekly add-drops in our league, we have 3 supplemental drafts held week 6, 8 and 10 so that might be why players who aren't going to play are overlooked in my league since its technically a waste of a roster spot, trading is at a minimum in my league so if you get screwed by injuries its very hard to dig your way out. i think it'll be allowed the more i think about it - i was going to draft Leshoure and Ryan Williams 2 years ago when they were injured for the season during preseason and no one would have had a problem with that, whats the difference between a guy who's out for the year and a guy still in college? none. i think i just need to play it cool, not give people any advance notice that would cause them to look up the future studs of tomorrow and i'll announce it during the draft when everyone is focused on this year's players and haven't researched every possible stud walking the earth, whether in college or the pros. there's such psychology that goes into fantasy sports. i just wanted to make sure he was the real deal and it sounds like he's a sure thing.

Not if Todd Gurley has something to say about that. As far as being the easy 1.01.
But I do agree that he's a stud.
Will come down to landing spots for Gurley and Yeldon. Who ever lands in the better situation will be 1.01.
Too bad we have to wait until 2015, when they are eligible.
