so far it hasn't been a very stellar first few years for the rb the saints moved up to draft in the 1st round...it might have been the worst possible landing spot for him but he is still young and has shown a few flashes that he can be a solid nfl rb...I see his floor at 800 yards and 7 tds...depending on usage i could see him reach 1000 yards and close to 10 tds....lets get some conversation going on the bama rb not named trent
PROS:
only 23
big powerful runner
appears to finally be healthy
goal line back on high powered offense
strong inside runner
seemed to turn it on late last year
CONS:
might be 3rd best rb on that team
horrible fit with the saints offensive sets
hasn't been most durable rb
JRMRRT said:I think he is the best "RB" on the team but that team and offense is better suited for a guy like Sproles. I dont question Ingram but I do question how they will use him.
FarFromHome said:I don't like ingram at all. I see no heart in him. He may have the best physical attributes of the other RB's there, but he fails to use this to his advantage. I've watched many of his saints games and he just plain fails to impress. he is often put into short yardage situations which is suited for him and he comes up short too often for my liking. Short of the 9ers, seahawks, or the steelers looking for a bettis reprisal I don't think any team's style fits ingram. He is useless in the passing game, and that is where the leauge is heading. IMO he is a bust and only worth a late round flier.

I like Ingram but his situation is awful

nah...just trying to get conversation going on him...I was pretty objective stating pros and cons...cant make up my mind on him yet but his price tag to get him is reasonable...potential is there for him to do well

I don't see the price tag as reasonable ... a lot of owners have him valued at 1.1 rookie value still, so they're holding strong. I like him if I can get him as a RB4 ... but I'm not paying even market value for him

Yep, still amazes me as well.
is it because he isn't as good as advertised? or something else?
